gum base in itself is (or usually is in most cases) an animal product! trident states that there are no animal products in the tropical twist product... be careful though because most supermarket commercial gums are made from an animal gum base

In response to your inquiry, there are no animal ingredients in our Trident Tropical Twist flavor. The only Trident product that would have animal is Trident Splash, which has a beef based gelatin in it.
