Why don't vegans eat dairy products?!
Answers: Cows have to give milk so they don't get sick. So milking the cow helps the cow, and then we just waste the milk?
Why don't vegans eat dairy products?
For a variety reasons. I personally don't considering along side meat, it is the worst animal product for a human to consume. It is bad for human health, the majority of humans are lactose intolerant. Animal milk links to heart disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer, allergies, constipation, anemia, diabetes, and osteoporosis, not to mention makes autism worse because of the casein. Cow’s milk. It’s hard for humans to digest, it causes acidity in the body which can actually weaken bones over time, and it’s certainly not as good a source of calcium as vegetables are. Also, the stuff that ends up on dairy shelves are contaminated with cow’s blood, pus, feces, pesticides, and hormones. It is saturated with fat and cholesterol. Mammals don't lactate unless pregnant, or recently pregnant, you must forcefully impregnate cows (rape) which have a -roughly 50/50 chance of giving birth to males, male calves become veal. And the cow will stop making milk after the calf is born, so they inject the cows with steroids that keep the fetus from developing. The fetus will stay in there for as long as the farmers want, just so the cow will make milk. It's painful for the cow to be pregnant all the time.
Some other facts:
-Cows live for about 25 years and produce milk for about nine years. The stress of the factory farm leads to disease, lameness and reproductive problems and most cows die or are sent to the slaughterhouse in four years.
-In the farm, the cows are hooked by their udders to electronic machines and cows are subject to constant electric shocks. This leads to mastitis.
-They spend their entire lives standing on concrete floors and living conditions are abysmal.
-Cows are genetically manipulated given antibiotics and hormones so that their milk yield increases.
-To see that cows produce milk, they are impregnated. -Female calves are either slaughtered or added to the diary herd. The male calves are killed for veal, which is considered to be a meat delicacy.

Milk isn't a vegetable and IMO it's grosser than meat.
BECAUSE IT IS AN ANIMAL BY PRODUCT. BUT, THEY LOOK REAL GOOD WITH THEIR LEATHER BELTS, COATS, SHOES AND PURSES.
Vegetarians don't eat meat.
Vegans don't eat meat & they don't eat ANYTHING ~from~ animals. (Milk.) But I don't understand how they dont eat honey.. its from an insect.
In order for a cow to constantly produce milk they have to be impregnated every year. there milk is meant to go to their calf not us. their calves are taken away very young and either sold to be veal or raised to be dairy cows.
Vegans believe that all life is sacred and that it is wrong to use or exploit animals to benefit humans. That includes consuming animal products or encouraging the raising of animals in an inhumane way to produce goods for consumers. By not buying milk, there supposedly would be no reason to have massive breeding of dairy cows; no crowded living conditions for them, antibiotic injections, mechanical milking, etc. That being said, I love milk, cheese, and ice cream!
Milk cows are only bred to give milk, so if we stop drinking it, those cows won't get sick because they won't be born.
The generally accepted viewpoint is that it is wrong to take advantage of animals, stealing what they create for our own.
Another viewpoint is that it's better on your body not to eat dairy.
Bees are animals too, just because insects are very small doesn't mean they are considered not animals.
Cows would only lactate (produce milk) during the time the calf would be requiring it. Dairy farmers promote the cow to continued to produce milk well beyond what is the natural time by milking them and in some cases ...promote it with hormones. Calves are taken away from their mothers to be feed commercial products rather than the milk.
Vegan are all differently motivated for why "they" do what they do. Many have different ideas and reasons. It is a complex thing... you will get a variety of responses that will help you see the broad picture. Some vegans are very strict and others are less so... I am sure there are a number of definitions and other adjective to modify the word "Vegan".
I hope that helps! My Best Answer!
Well also consider that technically once we're out of infancy we don't really need milk.
Yet it would make more sense for humans to drink human milk than it would cattle milk, wouldn't it?
they only produce milk when they have calfs, and naturally they are only supposed to have calfs ever 3-4 years, but are forced to keep reproducing and reproducing every 11 months, for as long as their body can, and then they are used for meet when they are no longer useful in the milk department.
A calf has to be born in order to get the milk. As soon as the poor baby is born it is taken aways from its mother never gets to see it agian and gets slaughtered into veal so its basicly supporting meat company. And they also treat the cows very badly. Like milk-machines. Sad, isn't it?
Edit:
Oh, you think its WASTING? your just plain stupid! Were already wasting the milk by taking it away from someone else!
Do women have to pump milk or they get sick? No.
A cow produces milk only after having a baby, just like a human. It is breast milk for her calf. We are not calves.
Milking does not help the cow, dear. Nature is much smarter than that; it designed mammals to produce milk in response to having given birth and it designed each species' milk to be the perfect food for an infant of that species. Left to her own devices, a cow would calf every three years or so and her baby would drink her milk. That is what she makes it for. If she didn't have a baby, she wouldn't make milk at all. Milk would not be "wasted," it would just not be produced until and unless it was needed.
In a large dairy operation, however, cows are repeatedly artificially inseminated so they stay pregnant and producing. Calves are removed from their mothers within 24 hours of birth so that they don't drink up the profits. Female calves follow their mothers into a short, cruel lifetime of milk production and males are sold to the veal crates. Cows have been bred to have oversized udders and are pumped full of hormones and steroids to make them produce more milk than Nature ever intended. They are then milked by machine, which causes a painful infection in their nipples; so, in addition to the hormones and steroids, they are fed antibiotics to try to keep the infection at bay. After 5 or 6 years (instead of the 15 or so a cow would naturally live) they are simply worn out from the pregnancy-birth-lactation cycle and they are sent to slaughter. They end up as cheap hamburger after a lifetime of slavery.
No other mammalian species on the planet drinks milk beyond infancy and none drinks the milk of another species. Humans are alone in this lunacy. Cow's milk is designed to help a calf double it's body weight in the first 40 days of life and to put on half a ton in the first year. Unless you're trying to grow to half a ton, milk is not a necessary food. Most humans (especially non-white humans) lose their ability to digest the sugars in milk by the age of 4 or 5. Why? Because Nature designed us to be weaned off mother's milk before then and never dreamed that we'd drink the milk of another species beyond that.
Cows are given hormones so that they produce milk fast and in mass quantities, the milk they give is for their children, just as it is with humans, however when a milk cow has a boy calf they often if not always are given to a slaughterhouse before they get to live a week. Also, milk cows can live for many many years, however their peak milking time ends after 2-4 years i believe is accurate, and then they are sold to slaughterhouses. Many vegans are vegan because of cruelty to animals, milk cows are treated horribly and do not get to live life, they are stuck in a cage their short lives. So yes they are ment to make milk, but for their children, they keep the cows constantly pregnant so they always produce, and that is not natural healthy or right in anyway
hope that helps
vegans follow a macrobiotic die which is just beans n veges , fruit u can know more about them if u read about this kind of diet
it is taken from an animal and vegans don't eat anything to do with animals. but plants are living too...
