Technically you're a: Semi-Vegetarian.

No, you are not a vegetarian

no you are a picky omnivore

There are plenty of other ways to get protiens and omega-3s other than fish.

Flaxseed being just one of those ways to get omegas.

No.

you don't eat red meat. you can boast about that if you want.

if you're that bothered, just tell people you are cutting down on your meat intake bacause you are uncomfortable about it.

Some people do not condone the consumption of any animal products. Indirectly, this pertains to vegans. The avoidance of *direct* consumption of animal products is vegetarian.

I can see someone still eating fish- I do not, as they can still feel pain. (I eat clams and mussels. They are more like vegetables than living creatures.)

But the poultry... refuse to eat it. Your mother simply cannot do anything about it. If she wants to *force* you, then you will have to go through a lot, which I don't think she wants to put the effort out for.

By law parents can choose your food, household rules, and even religion. If you wanna be catholic and they are Jewish, they can forbid you from a church.

Same pertains to food, but most parents aren't going to wanna fight it, it's not worth it to them.

You aren't any sort of vegetarian. Best of luck though. Your doing more for the animals than most people, you don't need a title to be proud of that!

You are not a vegetarian yet. It's unfortunate that your mom is forcing you to eat poultry. When you stop eating poultry , you would be a pescatarian. Why do you still eat fish? They feel pain as well and fishing is worse on the environment that red meat is.

come on u r not vegetarian...u know it...when u think of those poor animals than what abt those fishes u eat...are they not living being...every body has got life n u cant take it by killing them to satisfy ur own stomach...
i m a jain..n pure vegetarian...n i cant stand non-veg..its just not right in any ways...who gave u right to kill those innocent animals n fishes to whom god gave a life...

if u really blieve in god n all those he created on this planet than stop eating non-vegetarian....let them live...there r many options availaible for healthy diet in vegetarian food....so b vegetarian n spread this awareness to all u know..."LIVE N LET LIVE"

It doesn't matter the reason, eating animals counts you out of vegetarianism. I understand your delima. However, by choosing, if you do, to call yourself a vegetarian at this point will not only be incorrect; it will make you feel cheated down the road when you are old enough to cut out the meat and really be a vegetarian.

No, you eat the flesh of dead animals, so you are not a type of vegetarian. We don't eat dead animals, including fish and birds.

Your mom cannot *make* you eat anything. You may be young, but your body is still your own. If you don't want to eat animals, you need to educate yourself on vegetarian nutrition and then explain to her why you want to be a vegetarian and how you know how to get the nutrients you need without flesh.

Nope.

Vegetarians don't eat meat. You eat meat. You may be picky about what kind you'll eat, but you still eat it.

pesco-pollo vegetarian

Either way, people are still going to ask you what that means. It's not really a vegetarian, but there is a term for it.

Your mom can't make you eat anything just because you're under 18. You still have rights, even as a minor. If you want to quit poultry, then work it out with her.

No. Even for a pescatarian, I don't consider them vegetarian. Vegetarian is when you refuse to eat meat. Poultry is meat. Fish is meat. Heck, I consider egg and milk meat, too. Because they have one thing in common: They all came from animals who suffered.
