I have question...?!

Question: ok I know Veganism can't drink diary products like milk but I have question I know it's because they torture the cows etc... ok what about if it's cow from a ranch and they get the milk out the right way and they don't torture them etc... so can you drink the milk or no? no rude comments it's because I am a Lacto-ovo vegetarianism so I just want to know

No, vegans don't drink milk regardless of the cow it came from and how that cow was treated. We simply don't believe in exploiting animals for our own use. Since you do opt to include dairy in your diet, though, I would wholeheartedly applaud you for searching out milk from more humane operations.

It isn't ONLY because of the tortured animals.

Every person has his/her own reason for being vegan. Could be health, could be environmental, could be ethical.

They still don't drink it because not all vegans are vegans for the health of animals but the health of themselves, so they just follow a vegan diet.

Vegans don't eat, wear, or use animal products.

It's pretty cut & dried. The "well, what if..." hypotheticals don't matter.

p.s. you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, not vegetarianism. I am vegan, not veganism.

I think vegans won't eat anything related to an animal, b/c somehow it's exploiting the animal for it's spoils. Ridiculous IMHO.

it is not about torture, the reasoning is that it issupposedly exploitation... it is not my logic, i eat anything that i want

It's not so much because of cow torture. (Not convinced cows are tortured - not like people at Guantanamo Bay at least.) It's mostly because vegans can't have anything that exploits animals. Like they can't eat eggs, even if the eggs were laid perfectly naturally by wild chickens living idyllic lives in a forest somewhere.
What I'd like to know is how come people who eat fish still think it's ok to call themselves vegetarian! But that's a whole separate issue... :-)

i am a vegetarian, and most of the time vegan. I had a small slice of pizzia today, and, afterward, thought about what is actually in the cows milk and, it made me discusted that i ate some of it. over 59 hormones, urine, puss, blood fecal matter and antibiotics. all smothered on italian sauce and, crunchy crust..yukk.

um, dairy cows HAVE to be milked if NOT It is torture, learn the facts before making decisions

No. Vegans can't drink milk. Not all vegans are that way because of animal rights issues. A lot of vegans do it because they believe it is a healthier option.

Vegans can eat or drink whatever they like. That point aside, a few would chose to drink the milk if they were comfortable with how it was obtained. The vast majority would not because of health or animal exploitation reasons.

You can do whatever you want. I can't drink milk, I'm lactose intolerant.
