Hi Momo. I ma a vegetarian for 2 years now. I never had problems with my skin since than.
My advices for you:
1. Drink 2 litres of water daily. 2 glasses of water wan you wake up. 2 before lunch, 2 before dinner
2. Eat fruits at breakfast, sallads and vegetables at lunch - that will bring a lot of water and your skin will feel better
Use a cream... I have no suggestions here... Any cream you feel comfortable with...
I hope you will see and learn that being vegetarian is the best solution for you.
I will be more than happy to help you with any other details concerning nutrition and a healthy life style. Also I will be happt to share recipes. Please email me at madyiulia@yahoo.com

Don't over wash your face. Your oil production will increase to make up for it. If you're still eating dairy, that's a HUGE acne & other skin conditions trigger. You could be detoxing, but that's highly unlikely since you're still eating other animal products. The more fruits and veggies you eat, the better for your skin. Greens, especially. Dark leafy greens. And lots of water.

It totally depends on what else you eat. Healthy skin depends upon good digestion, and while eliminating meat might help with your digestion, if you continue to eat refined, processed, and sugary foods (including foods that your body turns to sugar like white flour and potatoes), then you will most likely continue to have skin problems.

Eat lots of veggies, especially raw, crunchy ones (to help push your food through your system), take good sources of fiber like ground flax seeds, drink lots of water, eliminate (or drastically reduce) sugary drinks and foods, switch to whole, organic grains (sprouted are even better) and eat more brown rice rather than grains for your carbs, and you should be fine. I would also recommend taking essential fatty acids as supplements - I take flax, borage, and primrose oils - but you can also take salmon or black current oils too. There are more types as well. Oh, and exercise, deep breathing and things like meditation will help you too.

I find I feel better when I eat more tofu and beans though - I know you can get protein from vegetable sources, but for me I don't think I was eating enough protein.

If you go to Dr. Mercola's site you will find that he does not recommend that everyone become vegetarian. He writes that some people need to eat meat, and red meat in particular. This was really surprising to me because I have been a vegetarian most of my life and believed that it was healthier too. However, I think a lot of it is based on myths put out there by groups intent on promoting their own interests.

Best wishes!

A week you say. I'd say that's a little premature for linking the two... wouldn't you say?

All the bad evil nasty things you ate have to come out of your body first. After that you're skin will start to look better. Drink lots of water to help the transition! It happens to most people who try to make a move towards being healthier.

It's probably because you're not getting enough protein and maybe not enough calcium.

Meat = protein

Dairy - calcium

I'm vegetarian, and I eat very little dairy, so I know how it is.
I take calcium and protein supplements, that you can get at a health foods store. Or maybe even your regular grocery store, I don't know.

But it comes in a powder form, and I just take a scoop of it in my cereal (that I eat with soy milk...lol), in my smoothies......anything that it will dissolve in.

Hey,
It sounds as if you are not true veggie. I am 100% raw vegan, everything I have is organic. Once you start to change your diet like I did, things eventually will fall in place. It does take time and patience, especially if you have been consuming flesh for long periods. This awesome diet WILL reverse all the negatives! There are a lot of website that can help you with this change! Also don't worry about the protein, vitamins, calcium etc. It's all in the fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts that you would consume! People will not believe that but it is true. You should check out www.thegardendiet.com the entire family are 100% organic raw vegans! They are raising their children that way. Plus Storm has been doing the veggie diet for over 30 years and he is almost 60 years old.

Instead of being a vegetarian who still consumes animals, processed foods and cooked foods, become a raw vegan. You won't have to worry about health problems. It's LESS time consuming once you become a raw vegan, especially if you are a busy person such as myself!

only a week?

it didnt happen to me when i became a veg.

and dont expect to see results immediately.
.

I don't have that problem. Maybe your not getting enough protein. If your not a vegan eat some dairy products they have protein, but if you're not to fond of dairy might I recommend some nuts? They're high in protein also Bear Naked Peak Protein Granola. And drink lots of water!

my wife was Veg for a year...she looked pretty bad. Now she's glowing again since she's eating meat...be careful and ensure you get your protein and other lost sources
