Valentine's Day menu for my veggie friends - anything missing?!

Question: To start as it is COLD here at the moment, I thought a warming bowl of creamy, lightly spiced butternut squash soup, with a heart-shaped swirl of cream and heart shaped croutons.

Then (again heart shaped) raviolis filled with Riccotta cheese and spinach or roasted mixed peppers, courgette, onions and mushrooms, served with a fresh tomato sauce, and the plate dotted with fresh pesto. Salad of mixed baby leaves and sprouting seeds.

Individual heart shaped sticky toffee puds with a liquid caramel centre, dark chocolate sauce and served with whipped cream

cheeseboard, Liquer coffees, handmade cherry liquer chocolates port and cognac.

They are vegetarian, not vegan, have no allergies and EVERYTHING including the pasta will be homemade

Hello again :o) xx Well I must say, as ever, that your food sounds absolutely delicious - what lucky people your friends are to have you to make all that delicious food for them!! To me, that sounds like a perfect vegetarian meal - inventive, colourful and original - hope you all have a lovely time! x

What time shall I be round ?

Sounds lovely; what time and where?

Ok, you forgot to tell me what time to be there.

can i PLEASE come to this?

Oh that sounds heavenly! I love the butternut squash soup in particular. Now you've whet my appetite so I will probably make it for dinner tonight. Just another reason to drop by the grocer's and pick up a squash :)

Your desert sounds extremely decadent, perhaps some fruit dipped in dark chocolate as well to offset it? Some carefully selected heart-shaped wild strawberries or raspberries with a little V cut into the top to make them heart-shaped... yum. However, that's probably the weakest and only criticism I could ever scrounge up because this sounds heavenly.

Loves Me Not - LMAO, I make squash casseroles and quinoa-stuffed squash. Squash is huge, what other reason would I need it for? ;) Practice for my next labor and delivery? LMAO.

Make sure the cheese doesn't contain animal-based rennet. I would figure out a brand you prefer, and check their website first - if you don't find an answer there, you'll probably have to call/email and wait for a response.

Rennet is from the stomach of calves and lambs and used in many cheeses, although certian types are vegetable-based.
Not all vegetarians consider it non-veg*n, although it is from animal flesh.

sounds yum..how the heck do you get heart shaped crutons tho? do tell!

thanks..wow u sound like you would be a top boyfriend (or friend..lol) to have..i want you to be my friend! lol. x

Should I dress in red? I'll be there just in time to help you finish the set-up. Just let me know place and time it sounds wonderful, you are the BEST friend, I certainly hope they appreciate you. :) Happy Valentines Day!

awwwww thats soooooo sweet!

The only thing missing is a girlfriend/boyfriend. Valentine's Day is a couples holiday. Where I come from, couples celebrate together and do not get together with friends. I hope you have a girlfriend/boyfriend for next year!

Maggie--"Just another reason to drop by the grocer's and pick up a squash"---what's the other reason???

EDIT: No offense but to me, Valentine's Day is supposed to be romantic. Hanging out with your friends isn't romantic.

Strawberries dipped in choc.
