How does one transition to become a vegetarian? If so how? to vegetarians?!
Answers: do you feel healthy? can you give me some stories. Thanks and God bless.
I went cold turkey. I decided I didn't want to eat meat anymore (personally for two reasons, one for health and the other because I didn't want to support factory farming) and I just quit.
I am happy and don't want to eat meat at all, which is a bonus. I love my food and I find it easy to be vegetarian (especially because I was vegan for a month - vegetarianism is so easy compared to that!)
I feel very healthy yes. Try it out and see how you get on. But make sure you eat a spectrum of foods.
i guess you just... stop eating meat.
but you have to keep protein in your diet,
to stay healthy, so i advise tofu.
look for recipes online.
you can pretty much make it taste
like whatever you want.
Easy!
and because I already have a very underactive thyroid, I need regular blood tests. It turns out that my iron levels are higher since leaving meat behind (one of the biggest fears of turning vegetarian).
I'm in great health, I feel great, and I'm my ideal weight etc. It's important to have flavour and balance in your meal. Meat is used a lot by people as the main source of flavour and served with boiled veg. In this scenario, of course you'd miss the meat. Get some books, learn some great recipes. Indian food is a terrific place to start because it's varied, healthy and full of satisfying flavour (with or without the heat of chillies)
For me, the deciding factor was knowing how animals are treated. Even if they are well cared for in free range farms: they meet a death that is by no means caring or in their best interest. That's why it was so easy for me to give it up.
Be prepared with protein substitutes else you will always feel hungry.
Don't really know...Where's the Beef.
