Hartley's Vegetarian Jelly?!
Answers: Does Hartleys Jelly come in sachets that you can make yourself at home or does it just come in the small tubs? Are there any other jelly brands without animal geletin in them?
Hartley's do a vegetarian jelly in sachets called Hartley's QuickSet Jelly. You can buy it at Tesco's and some other supermarkets. It comes in raspberry, strawberry and orange flavour. It has the 'suitable for vegetarians' green 'V' sign on the back of the sachet, along with the words 'suitable for vegetarians' in small letters around the 'V' so you can be absolutely sure it is vegetarian.
I buy it regularly - I have two sachets in my cupboard right now - and it is really nice.
no jelly has animal gelatin that i know of, , the consistency is due to fruit pectin.
if you are refering to jello, then can be made with agar agar.
i don't know if hartly,s do that but i would think not as for jelly a lot of people tend to think you can only use gelatin a by product of animal bones hoofs and skin but you can make jelly without using gelatin as you can use agar agar and that is from certain types of edible seaweed no animal products used in that
