i am and have been a veggie head (vegetarian) 4 like 3 yrs. and the first reason i even became a vegetarian waz because i h8ed the taste of meat and then i found out about all the other stuff (like all the land they use to raise cattle that they could be using to plant crops and end world hunger, the grossie chemicals they put into the animals b4 they kill em, the adreniline ur eating when u eat meat, etc). i think if u like meat and dont reli care about the other stuff, go ahead and eat meat.

well, if you're vegetarian and it's something you care about, you shouldn't go around eating soup with chicken stock...

they have soup broths that taste like chicken, but are really made from veggies.
why not try that?

Wanting it and eating it are 2 totally different things. Wanting it is OK, eating it is not vegetarian. The diet is easy for some and not so easy for others. Keep trying and do the best you can.

Like the other answerer said, using vege broth can make an equally good soup.

Nothing wrong in craving for something, ultimately, it is the control from actually having it that becomes a problem.

I have been vegetarian for 14 years, the first 8 months was hell.

There are a lot of vegetarian stock that does work well.

Bottomline is, what is your main purpose for becoming vegetarian? Once you have a definite answer for this, you know what to take and what not to take.

That's why god created Maggi vegetable broth cubes.

Good that you realized the mistake, henceforth don't take a chance , if you feel love towards animals. Remain away from non-veg. food.

That's quit obvious if you are veggie , that mean you , respect other living beings i.e. animals , how can you eat them. Very Bad. OK, once done mistake don't repeat it.

no, it is not. It is actually a SIN to not eat meat so make sure you eat a lot of bloody meat.

it's understandable feeling the way you do, like some have already suggested.. you can try the "chicken" flavored soups, no real meat in there.

and pay no attention to the troll who said it's a sin to not eat meat. what an ignorant and dumb thing to say, do you not have a brain?

It's not wrong that you still have a taste for meat. I mean, I've been vegetarian for a little while and I still would like the taste of meat if I were to eat it right now. But, knowing that I'm saving animals keeps me from chowing down on one of them. =)

I'm a vegan, but sorry for answering this.

It's okey you're trying your best. Diet discipline starts from...

Controlling, Moderation
Refrain, Restriction.
Condemning, activism against prejudice, cruelty, etc

If you're in first stage, you are PERFECTLY right for what you have done. However, put your both palms on your heart and ask...what is right, what is not!

Veggie broth is just as good.

Better Than Bouillon's "no chicken" broth is shockingly chicken-y.

Its not true that vegetarians don't "like" meat. Some do, dome dont.

Vegetarians CHOOSE not to eat it, thats all.

If you like meat, but choose not to eat it, you are still a vegetarians, dont' worry about it.

Those cravings might be because you are in the mode of "cutting out" meat. Its a bit like giving us something. In your mind you want it more - becasue you know you can't have it.

If you focus on al the great vegetarian foods, rather than processed mock-meats, you will soon realise that great tasting food doesn't need meat in it and you'll forget all about that chicken.

speakng for myself, i do like meat, but the reason i stopped was for the sake of the animals, i lov animals see?
i figured "if you lov 'em, u dont eat 'em"
choice is urs, what do u thnk?

Nothing wrong with liking the taste of meat. That is why you should check out a flexitarian diet, it allows for you to eat a limited amount of meat.

Oh for fucks sake- grow up!
Just make sure you eat chicken that was reared free range and not intensively farmed.

Get a bloody grip people!

Vegetarian bloody nonsense!

Just choose your meat WISELY and don't buy cheap, factory farmed stuff.
