My children love to try new fruits?!

Question: such as the papaya and mango and star fruit ( because we live in Utah, and these fruits are unusual here! LOL). I allow them to get one new fruit or veggie per week. Any suggestions for next week's adventure?

Right now, longans - a relative of the lychee - are in season and fairly cheap.

My favourite fruit is one I tried in Pakistan. It's called a custard-apple, sugar-apple or sweetsop. They're creamy and sweet with large black seeds that pop right out.

Dragon fruit is sooo delicious, too. It's like a sweeter, less tart kiwi fruit, with a delicate white flesh. It's also called pitahaya and I can get it at most of the groceries here.

tomatoes (Your kids will be shocked to learn this is actually a fruit!)

But if the tomato thing doesn't go over well, try those dwarf bananas or figs

pomegranates

cut in half, scoop out seeds and suck on them and then spit them out, be careful the stain

cactus fruits if you can get some....or grenade...wine grapes (they are tiny) its a good idea by the way good job and good luck...

Kiwi or pineapple are my favorites.

Having a varied diet including exotic fruit can be very beneficial they have differing levels of vitamins.Lychees are nice and kiwi fruit have more vitamin c than oranges, ugli fruit a cross between a grapefruit and orange looks strange but tastes really nice, pineapples i love and any berry as its tartness is a foil to some of the really sweet fruit.my favourite veg would be carrots, cabbage and cauliflower mashed swede and roasted parsnips and sweet potatoes.happy adventures...peace to you and your family

Try Passion fruit.

I live in utah too - North Ogden! - I get mangos, and the other fruits you mentioned. But yeah, it is hard to get a good variety! - I am going to go the Farmers markert this summer.

If you find good fruits, email me! lol!

Absolutely---The pineapple!....Don't just go and buy a Dole off the shelf (although that might be hard). Try to find a good gold WHOLE pineapple and let them watch you learn to cut it up..........Check out Pineapples and don't believe everything you hear from large companies.....There's a BIG difference out there..............You might have to settle for what you can get BUT, it'll still be fun..........Try to learn before you buy, though.
