Amen I could not have said it so civil such as yourself. Walmart is really bad about injecting their meats with g-d knows what additives(preservatives, coloring) but they get away with it because they have a strong lobby network in D.C.

If its of concern, you can just stop eating meat i suppose.

Pellets used in beef and dairy cattle are certainly made with added growth hormones. You can see it in the nutritional information sheets stapled to the feed sacks in any UK feed mill

Sheep feed ( lamb creeep ) does not, its made from foliage

Country blend ( mix for cattle and sheep ) does not, its made from foliage

high density beef and dairy herds will use them, some "local and small" low density farms do not.

Factory fish are reared on a liquidised blend of dead fish and growth foods, this includes added hormones.

The only UK regulation states that animals need to be fed on non-hormone food for 2 weeks prior to slaughter. This is actually to do with slowing down thier motabolism so they don't need feeding on the last 2 days durnig transit and at the slaughter house. It has nothing to do with human safety.

As well as humans, what about animal welfare ? Most beef ans cattle high growth feeds has active yeast ( biosprint ) in it, this encourages rapid food digestion to speed up growth and milk production by 10-11%.

The following beef feeds from my local supplier have growth hormones in them:

PrimeBeef 33 (Non-GM) & PrimeBeef + Urea pellets
Protein Booster 35 & 40 pellets
Supermix 30, 35 & 40
Wynnmin Premier & Supa minerals
Wynnmin Biosprint Beef Minerals
Beef Booster Supplements:

The following dairy feeds have growth hormones in them:
AdVance Rearer 20
Heifer Rearer 600
Rearer 18
Cattle Rearer 16
Wynnmin Heifer 600 energy buckets

When you look at the range of meat available and quantity of each range, its quite clear price is more important that quality, welfare or safety to the average buyer

Athletes you've seen go to jail for telling lies under oath, not, for the most part, using HGH. I find it ironic that HGH is considered illegal when your body produces it naturally. Same goes with testosterone. We don't jail people for eating trans fats, which can lead to your demise just the same as steroid abuse. There's irony.

It depends where you live.

In the uk feeding anything containing growth pellets to dairy cattle was banned some time ago, not that all of us did that anyways.

In the US, the use of growth hormones on dairy & beef cattle is still allowed.

If you want to avoid growth hormones totally, go for a meats that have organic standard from a well recognised organic body. The use of anything artificial in organic feeding is not allowed.
