It's great you're interested in being more active for the animals. PETA's action center is full of outreach tips and action alerts - click on the categories on the left side of the page: http://www.peta.org/actioncenter//

If you're between the ages of 13 and 23, you can join the Peta2 Street Team and make a difference for animals in your community. See http://www.peta2.com/STREETTEAM/index.as... to learn more and sign up.

Online activism is also a great tool... things like posting PETA's videos on YouTube, streaming videos on your MySpace page, etc. help to get the message out. Go to http://www.peta2.com/TAKECHARGE/t-online... for tons of ideas.

Hope this helps and thanks for your dedication!

why don't you leave that decision to each individual and quit trying to push veganism on people.

Well, you're one person, so you can only reach so many people. If you live in an urban area where there's a spot that gets a lot of pedestrian traffic, you might want to try leafleting. Order some vegetarian starter guides, go to a busy corner one morning or afternoon, and start handing out leaflets to passersby. It's best of the guides have a few recipes in them for people to try. My experience with leafleting is people LOVE restaurant guides and recipe booklets.

For your non-veg family and friends, cook for them tasty vegan food. Bring vegan goodies to work--even if it's just your lunch, people will see that you don't just eat rabbit food. As Carol J. Adams points out, show, don't tell.

And live your life well.

you can hand out leafets about the benefits of being veg*n.

There are many - health, environment, world hunger, limiting animal cruelty.

Look for a good website that has leafets and you can hand then out.

alway look online about how give out leafets, - how to talk to people without preaching. Some people may not like it, but thats their choice.

good luck, - i can see you want make a difference, and its your choice to do that. -

Don't be pushy. In fact, never bring it up unless asked. You can do a lot without saying a word - keep yourself healthy and show your friends and family that you can be vibrant and healthy without meat. Go to normal restaurants and order delicious vegetarian meals to show them it's possible to eat out as a veg*an. Hunt around and find cool vegan clothing and shoes, and let people know where you got it if they ask. Be patient and explain if people wonder where you get protein, calcium, and iron to show them that vegetarians are educated about nutrition and that it is not difficult to get everything you need.

Why not join a local organization? Here is south Florida, we have ARFF and they go out every Saturday night in downtown Miami and play the PETA "Meet your Meat" video. Well, that's one of the many things they do.
