Question about diet and exercise?!

Question: I have been eating basically a vegetarian diet off and on again for 30 years - mostly totally for the last 3 years - totally vegetarian the last 4 months.

I need suggestions for an exercise program that is low impact that take into consideration that I have osteo in my one leg (too many steroids - doing yoga but doctor wants me to do 'more') - along with diet suggestions that help along the line to keep the osteo from advancing further?

Mature answers and suggestions please.

First of all you should consult a physician, also and specialist nutritionist to help you whit your problem in conjuntion whit a physical trainer, i suggest you can start walking at your own peace in brisk walks of 10 to 15 minutes, rest and them do strech or yoga, and continue adding minutes week to week. But first talk all this to your doctor, don't do nothing alone.

I have that osteo thing as well. I know one thing with arthritis that you really need to keep moving no matter how much it hurts. I do walk, I have in one knee and ankles and hands. My suggestion is get an awesome pair of walking shoes, maybe ask the doctor about some theraputic orthodics to help with allignment. walk at your own pace. I have been trying weight loss and so far it's been working with the pain factor. I walk daily and do the yoga thing as well. good luck really.
