Hi, two things:
1.Being vegetarian may still mean you may be eating junk food such as chips, chocolate, fried stuff and/or lots of fat cheese and salt, none of which is great for the skin. I have been a vegetarian for 16 years. My diet has gradually become more and more healthy and personally, my skin greatly improved when I stopped eating dairy regularly. So eat food that is as natural and as little processed as possible, it should help.

2. I had a breakout after I decided to go organic, which probably meant I was detoxing. Then it went. So it could actually be a good sign and you'll have great skin again soon because it's getting rid of all the toxins now.

I hope this helps, good luck!

you still need to eat protien like cheese and eggs and if you aren't eating fish you should take some omega 3 oil pills.

Yes, but without examining your diet carefully it's hard to say exactly what's causing your problem.

Are you careful to get all the nutrients you need? A vegetarian diet is quite tricky to get right until you're used to it. Go on some vege sites for guidance about balanced nutrition. good luck

Yeah.

there's no reason for vegetarian diet to do this. I've been a vegetarian for nearly twenty years and, yes, I do get dry skin sometimes but I did when I was eating meat too. Maybe you need to drink more water.

It's probably what else you're eating, more sweet stuff, particularly chocolate. Meat is filling - it's why we used to hunt for it even though that's more dangerous than growing wheat. (Okay, I know that's not exactly pre-historically correct, we hunted before we farmed, but the reason holds true.)

Also, if you change your diet, especially during body events such as puberty and pregnancy, your metabolism will try to adjust in the most peculiar way. give it a couple of months. If it gets worse, talk to your doctor.

I've been a vegetarian for some time now and i never suffered with bad skin or anything.
Things to do is make sure that you are eating a balanced diet, this includes plently of veg, mixed pulses, fruit, seeds. Don't rely on pasta and rice, soya is a good source of protien.

well, skin is the largest organ on your body; it is also almost pure protein.

so, you figure it out. If you don't nourish your skin what is going to happen to it.

also the condition of your skin is partly genetic.

not that i know of

i,ll ask my mate spotty he,s a vegetarian!

Yes it can. If you have skin problems, then you are malnourished.

Eat fish or take fish oil capsules. Plant based omega 3s cannot be efficiently used by the body.

No.
It may actually improve your skin.

It sounds like you aren't getting enough O3 oils and fats in generally, you do need some.

Normally I'd say, 'stop being a veggie', but you could just substitute more fats (in the form of nuts/avocado) for carbs. Get a mixed seed and nut nibble to carry around with you, they have a lot of minerals in them that will help too.

generally i should say its a possibility. probably the best thing to eat would be some meat or oily fish maybe anything that brings your diet into line with nature you are an omnivore after all
