Foodstuff recomendations please ?!
So, can anybody help me out with advise on the following products .
Pate /spreads - We take in Granovita in olive & also mushroom if we can get it, are there any others we can hunt for ?
Orgran egg replacer - we didnt & find it all that great, are there any better options for using in cakes /batters/sauces/pasta than this brand ?
Soy chicken - we had good results with this product last year, are there any others that come recomended ?
Has anyone tried any of the soya cream products ? are they any good ? I rather like the idea of being able to make vegan strawberry tarts complete with blob of cream ontop.
Answers: That time of year again, tourist invasion about to start so I need to address the pantry & re-stock. Due to my very remote location I need to order in bulk & have it delivered to the ferry for the island, so I want to make sure I make the right choices as I know longer have a handy semi local wholefood store that I can call to do me a quick emergancy order.

As for spreads, I would try making your own! Almond spread is fantastic and there's tons of recipes online. The great thing is that you can just order tons of nuts, which last AGES and just make it as you need it.
Orgran "No Egg" - I actually really like this product in cakes but have to tell you NOT to follow the instructions on the box! I tend to mix up more than what it says because otherwise your cakes will prob be a little dry.
Not sure about mock meats as I don't eat them.
I've never had soy cream products but a friend of mine who has says they're not as thick/easy to work with as dairy cream.
