How can avegan call themselves a peace loving person?!

Question: when htey wouldrather buy their clother from am *** retailer then buy a second hand leather jacket? I guess forced child slave labor doesn't bother a vegan as long as animal wasn't hurt in the process? Isn't this logic hypocrtitical?

Who is Avegan?? But whoever you are talking about I agree with you. When the look at their clothing and it says made in China they have no idea how many 12 year olds worked all day getting whipped to make that coat they are wearing. All of these vegans think they do so good but have no clue about what goes into what they buy. So why are vegans so extreme at saving animals when they don't come close to understanding what goes on as far as manufacturing of clothing and other items is concerned? Very hypocritical if you ask me. Well.......at least it didn't hurt a cow. Probably ravaged and kill hundred of kids though. Oh well I don't see it. "Save the whales because I'm Captain Planet"

It sure sounds like to me.

How on god's green Earth can you claim to know the shopping habits of all vegans? This question doesn't deserve the dignity of a response.

who calls themselves "peace loving person"? Why don't you ask that question?

I've seen many questions you ask on this site. You are looking for a fight, you are judgmental.

You aren't looking for real answers, you are looking for someone to say something that will give you another reason to attack.

well frankly i agree and yet i dissagree. if a veagan doesnt want to deal with things of an animal like nature, more power to 'em. however, i find it to be cruel and unusual that a child may be beaten and bruised and forced to work for a minimal cost. a veagan should also learn that it is very unfair to try to convert others so to speak. and oh by the way letting an animal give milk, will not hurt it. in fact, that may actually relieve swelling that the animal has. if a chicken lays and egg, it is not like the chicken had to die or something. veagans need to learn that they can eat things that come from an animal and not meat. i think that they should really think about these things, but are allowed to believe as they wish.

I agree with Mockingbird.

You and your first answerer have been very busy travelling the globe and checking the wardrobes and shopping habits of every single vegan while cross-examining them about their knowledge of child labour and exploitation.

Kevin has been especially vigilant - he knows what all vegans think as well.

It's just odd I don't remember you coming to my house to ask me...

FFS, 'Common Sense', how long does it take you to come up with these ridiculously contrived questions?

And what's an am*** retailer?

To be fair, there was nothing in my original question that specifically said which chain retailer, so the child labor angle is conjecture, albeit a real factor that i was glad you brought up because very often you really dont know with a chain retailer. So the trade off of that question, which recieved mixed answers, is if the waste of a new jacket is worth the trade off of not advertising leather. Also to be fair, when not forced into picking the lesser of two evils many vegans will do neither.

How many vegan people have you followed shopping?

None? What a surprise.

I am not a vegan and I prefer nudity anyway. But the kitchen staff panicked when they saw me reading the newspaper with no clothes on so that put an end to that experiment...

Frankly, it is more cruel to have to read a question full of typos and makes no sense at all. But two points are two points...

It is true that people are being exploited, but you know...nobody can be perfect. We can't constantly worry every time we go out shopping whether an animal or human is being exploited. If we did, then we'd miss the bigger picture in life. I understand it's cruel and unusual and just plain stupid what people do to each other and animals, but constantly worrying and ranting on the computer is going to get no one nowhere. And vegans actually do care a lot about life in general. You would be extremely surprise. I'm not one. I'm an omnivore who wants to start eating organic. But you would be surprised at how extremely caring they can be.
