Hi.
I am a vegetarian and have been one for about 1 1/2 years to 2 years [ i am not quite sure how long I have been one].
That is good that your parents are letting you go vegetarian, I was lucky because my mom was vegetarian when I told her I wanted to go vegetarian [ she is still vegetarian]. Some good recipes that you can include veggies are: in pasta. If you love pasta...any type...just throw in veggies in it!!!!!! Then you are good to go.
Some websites:

www.vegsource.com
www.peta2.org [maybe]
www.vrg.org
There are some websites!!!!!!!!! =D
Thanx for going vegetarian!!!! =]

you can use lentils in a lot of cases instead of mince if you are making a dish, even like lasagne etc.
If you want to avoid meat just remember to get enough iron in your diet
just google vegan recipes.
acorn squash is my favorite sprinkled with cinnamon and splenda.
chick peas are yummy but I watch calories so it is easier to eat a scoop of protein powder mixed with water for protein.
If you are trying to lose weight don't eat pasta very often.
Go easy on the dairy products and fake meat if you want to lose weight. Up your exercise, that's the best way.
Vegetarians naturally have a lower body weight because of the type of food they consume and the leaner protiens, not because they only consume vegetables. Some uneducated vegetarians have failed, poor, unplanned diets that consist of junkfood, pasta, and peanut butter sandwhiches and mac and cheese and pizza bites. Legumes and grains, soy cheeses and tofus are going to be where your protiens come from now, so you still don't have to like vegetables as much, lol. They'll still only be the vegetables in your diet, but learn to like them, they're important. You're better off learning cooking methods because once you do that, you can learn what compliments what, and what you can interchange. But as for site, there is a lot if you cook it or go to a bookstore on cooking vegetables by themselves, I'm looking at 5 books right now, my favorite is Vegetarians Homestyle Cooking, and Healthy Cooking with Vegetables. Here are some sites..
