What do you eat on a low carb, soy free diet for protein?!
Answers: Allergic to Soy.
Try this one. - spinach has loads of protein.
put spinach on a plate, then put peeled and sliced oranges, put in some apples and nuts, drizzle with dressing.
Another thing, try ordering vegan protein bars and snacks online, so when ever you really need food you will have something.
Also, keep a large amount or dried fruit and nuts, so you are not hungry without anything to eat.
If possible try to plan what you are so going to eat, this way you do not have to stress every meal time. Its like a little bit of planning at the start will help you through out your week.
good luck. - if you need more recipes email me. - you'll be fine!
all natural peanut butter
I use Nutiva's and Manitoba's Hemp protein powder (in shakes, my oatmeal, or even in my baked muffins). I also use VegLife's Peaceful Planet High Protein (this is mostly from the high protein grains: amaranth, quinoa, and millet, with spirulina) that is used as a meal replacement. I also use Pea protein powder, now called gemma protein powder, that is really light and sweet tasting, but not a whole lot of fiber (as compared to the hemp and grain protein powders).
I too found out I am allergic to soy! If you just want food, then the super grains - amaranth, quinoa, millet are good (I make a power porridge with all three and an oatmeal to form a creamy base as they are small and grainy) or the other legumes (beans in chili, hummus and tabouli, or even enchiladas).
nuts
spirulina
vitamins
perhaps a shake made for this diet.
nuts
Beans as long as they're not soy. If your allergic to all bean sources then peanut butter would be the best bet.:)
Almost all food has protein. You really don't need that much (it's a myth perpetuated by the meat industry), and in fact most people get too much protein in their diets. Nuts, beans, and leafy greens will give you all the protein you need.
