Is there any problem eating raw oat groats after soaking them overnight?!

Question: I prefer to eat foods as raw as possible to maintain the live enzymes, but I don't know if grains need to be cooked to convert them into a more bioavailable form.

I don't care about the taste, I'm just looking to keep my food in the most nutritious form possible.

It is okay to eat them after soaking, but I wanted to just offer a few tips and cautions.

Be sure that you do not oversoak your food in an "unclean" dish or area...non-beneficial bacteria can grow if things are left for too long. Also, be sure to soak "well" if you have a hard time digesting things, and if you have any G.I. tract issues (you would know if you did), check with your doctor to confirm that the consistency of this food will not lodge in your intestines or puncture them. Some people eating very "raw" diets consistently can develop problems with having hard pieces of things in their G.I. tract if not soaked and prepared properly.

I applaud your healthy choices and best of luck!

Other then consitency and taste, no. I personally would not eat em like that tghough because they might be a bit too sogy.
