Are there growth charts for vegan children?!

Question: The growth charts for vegetarian children are the same as for others. There are whole communities in India which are purely vegetarians in India and the growth of such children are taken casually as with all children. Eg. for whole communities who are vegans are Brahmins, Saiva Vellalas, many middle class to lower middle class ordinary people of North India (the Hindi speaking majority), In India.

as long as they are eating healthily, it should be the same as others.
Not that I approve of this lifestyle.

No but there should be.

They should not need a special growth chart. There is a standard for growth that is acceptable and that has to be met, whether you choose vegan lifestyle or any other. It is the parent's responsibility to see all the nourishment the child needs is supplied. The lifestyle choice of the parent is not that of the kids.

No, why would there be? Their progress will be the same (and as varied) as other children's.

I know there are different growth charts for formula fed and breastfed babies, but in theory a vegan diet shouldn't make any difference in growth compared to the WHO growth charts composed of children from all over the world -including countries where milk and meat are scarce and not full of growth hormones.

really?????? i wouldnt think so, food is food, no matter what the food is, and vegan diet is the best! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

yes its caould a ruler lol probabaly a six inch one will do because undoubtedly their growth will be stunted by this tupid and cruel diet

Take a regular chart and subtract 6" for every stage. It should be fairly accurate.
