Is there any meat in potato chips?!

Question: brands - kettle, thins, etc...

Answers: brands - kettle, thins, etc...

No, unless for some strange reason a particular brand is fried in lard which is an animal byproduct. Most chips are fried in vegetable oil.

Do ground up bugs count as meat? They do their best to scrub them taters down, but it's hard to get all the boreworms and potato bugs off. You have look at the bug's point of view to be fair. If you'd lived on a potato your whole life you wouldn't just abandon your home and let somebody fry it up. The little buggers will hang on pretty tight sometimes. So anyway, I don't know about meat. I only know about the bugs.

potato is apure vegetarian product it comes from a plant so there is no chance to tell that meat is there in potato chips no doubt it is a pure veg no chance of meat orsomethng is there in yhis it is extracteed from a plant

No, most chips are fried in vegetable oil. Check the bag to make sure they used veggie oil.

Robert is right. Not just potatoes but flour and chocolate contain bugs as well.

Yes, the meat of potatoes.

Nope, you can always check ingredients, most are just potatoes, salt, and some sort of veggie oil, like canola, some are fried in peanut oil,and then seasonings for the non-plain.

no when it says beef flavour thats the food powder enhancements not from beef at all, crisps have too many perservatives colourings and flavourings, if you want prefer crisps make your own with your own potatoes there are natural nothing is added to them.

well, if you count smoky bacon and bbq crisps then yes

I always check the back of the packet. For example Chicken flavoured chips often DO have chicken in them in the form of chicken extract (a small %) and the same goes with some other chips.

no
they are made of potatoes in india :p i dont know about other countries

Only if the potatoes are contaminated with meat(assuming by meat you mean animal protein).

no. who told you that! its just flavourings not real meat!dont worry.

Generally, no. But I have seen certain flavors of chips that contain gelatin. One of the flavors of Doritos corn chips contains chicken broth.

When in doubt, read the ingredients.

umm... no.
not unless you're eating those weird meaty flavoured ones.... some of them actually have like, types of meat extract. just stick to regular/salt and vinegar/ketchup and you'll be fine or start reading ingredients....

Not typically, but I have found flavors of potato chips that had anchovy in them (worcestershire sauce.) You do want to be wary of any that list "natural flavorings" in the ingredients; all the flavored Doritos sold in the US have pork-derived seasonings in them. Potato chips should be potatoes, some type of plant oil, salt and seasonings.
