Is eating 3 pounds of Tofu per day OK?!
Is there any side effects to eating that much tofu? Will I fart a lot or throw up?
I do take a daily vitamin every day.
Answers: Im lactose intolerant, and I also want to lose weight. But I have a big appetite. Is it ok to mix 1 pound of raw extra firm tofu with strawberries and soak it in a little juice, and do this for breakfast lunch and dinner?

That is way too much protein. Your body will not be able to handle that much protein on a regular basis. Your kidneys may start to have problems.

The only chemicals used are calcium sulfate or magnesium chloride. Both are natural, harmless minerals.
i eat tofu everyday....prepared anyway i can think of.

My sister in law advised me to only eat tofu in moderation - as you would with most other foods because she was concerned about the chemical agents used in processing tofu.
Actually, she told me to not eat it at all; however, I like tofu so she told me to go easy on it.

Anything in excess is bad for you. Moderation is key!
If you want to lose weight, try eating a healthy, balanced diet. Eating tofu 3 meals per day will only work for so long - eventually you will have to go back to eating other foods, so why not teach yourself NOW what healthy eating is? It's all about portions and balance!
Also, drink plenty of water and incorporate exercise.
I eat tofu almost every day... sometimes twice a day, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
Yes, tofu will make you fart TONS, but you should be able to build up a tolerance to this after a while and it won't affect you as badly.
No, it's not ok to eat the same meal 3 times a day, your body needs a variety of nutrients. You need vegetables and carbohydrates... and a variety of fruit, not just strawberries.
I can understand the appeal of a high protein diet in relation to losing weight, but please don't be silly about it. You need to look after your body and balance it. At least try some tofu salads or scrabled tofu with green veggies & mushrooms for some variety.

well tofu as alot of nickel in it so if your anemic (means: you dont have much blood) then tofu is good but im not sure eating that much is healthy.
That much tofu is not good for you. You really should mix it up with fruit, vegies, nuts, legumes. You can try other options like soy yogurt and soy milk smoothies. I'm suprised you not sick of tofu. There is no way I could possibly eat tofu breakfast lunch and dinner. Moderation and variety are the key to a healthy successful vegan diet.
