Cadbury's Creme Eggs - Vegetarian?!

Question: Are creme eggs suitable for vegetarians? I asked this questions last week but got some rubbish answers back telling me I shouldn't eat them because they contain dairy (even though I didn't even ask if they were vegan!) and that vegetarians shouldn't even eat them because they contain dairy (hmm, thought that was a vegan...) and one person said I can because they don't have gelatine in them (but I know that it could contain other non-vegetarian derivitives e.g certain emulsifiers, whey powders etc) so please give me a straight answer!! Thanks

I've double checked the box I have in my fridge and it doesn't say suitable for vegetarians so I guess I'd be wary. Try calling this number for an answer

No, there's bacon bits inside them.

I keed.

Yes, regular vegetarians can enjoy the delicious Easter treat.

Im a vegetable rights activist, carrot juice is murder!

If you are unsure and don't appreciate the answers given to you, then don't eat it and don't ask questions. By the way, some vegetarians don't consume dairy so they said no. they are being honest and you thanked them by calling their answers "rubbish".
So you want help? No, do it yourself.
In the time it took you to log on to your account, type a question, categorize it and all that, then read the answers, you could have called them yourself and gotten a straight answer from the source.

chocolate + gluten goo + flavoring = cadburys cream egg

answer ur question?

I think they are. I eat them and i'm a vegi. So i hope they are! Besides, If they weren't it would be specified on either the box you pick them out of (individually) the wrapper of the egg, or the box you get them in (multipack) So mny people nowadays are vegi so i should think they are.

I can't help you without seeing the list of ingredients, but here's something that might help.

Animal ingredients can hide under lots of unfamiliar names. If you see anything on the ingredient list that's listed at the site above, there's a good chance that your Creme Egg is NOT vegetarian.

Hope that helps ...

yes they are, here is the direct link to the cadbury site that says they are veggie:

most of the other answers don't really seem to know, i hope the above link helps. We had a similar question several times last week, i guess i didn't see your instance of it.

You seem to have riled exsft, i don't know what his original post was but its a shame, he contributes a lot to this forum.
