Answers: and does it have the same nutrienal stuff as regular, cow milk??

the taste of soy milk depends on the brand and manufacturer.

some soy milk brands, like SILK, have a good mouthfeel and almost reminds you of milk. other brands, especially the ones you buy in chinatown, taste watery and like bean milk.

I had just a sip years ago and it didn't even resemble milk to me. In fact it was bitter as I recall.

it does not taste the same, it has a different taste, and some soy milk has added nutrients so that it is as healthy as cow milk.

the soy milk i have (kirkland brand from costco) does not taste bitter, neither the other brands of soy milk ive had.

No it sure doesn't taste like cow's milk. I can't really describe the taste tho, I guess it's more creamy and tangier. It's an acquired taste but i got used to it and like it now. I think it's supposed to be more nutritious than cow's milk.

Well I would suggest try the Vanilla Flavored Soy Milk it doesn't taste like Cows milk it taste somewhat like wood in a good kinda way .The health benefit is a good anti oxidant that prevents cancer.

no it doen't, sometimes it is more bitter, sweeter, or plain. Just depends on the type of soy milk. But it doesn't have that taste milk has.

It tastes like vanilla its good

Soy milk is the worst creation on this Earth. Just keep buying moo cow milk and you'll be happy with yourself.

No, it doesn't taste like cows milk.

Silk and most other brands of soy milk are sources of more vitamins and mineral than cow's milk

Nope, not at all.

no, its vanilla flavored and has a grainy texture, i think its sooo gross

No it doesn't at all. But I still love it and add it to my cereal.

Try almond milk. It has a creamier flavor that reminds you of cow's milk, and it is naturally high in calcium. Soy milk is not high in calcium unless it is fortified.

Nope, it's quite different. The flavors vary a lot from brand to brand ... some are smooth and sweet, and others have a strong, beany aftertaste. It took us a long time to find a brand we liked, and we finally settled in with Silk Plus, the stuff in the light blue container. Just keep sampling some different kinds until you hit on one you like. You'll get used to the flavor ... just don't expect it to taste like cow's milk.

The nutritional consistency is different, too. After all, one is fluid from an animal, and the other is derived from a bean! But manufacturers usually add certain vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to fortify their soymilks, just like a lot of milk producers add things like Vitamin D. The biggest advantages soymilk has over cow's milk are that it's a great subsitute if you're lactose intolerant, it contains healthful isoflavones, it doesn't have casein (read "The China Study" to get an idea for just how bad casein can be for you), you're not drinking something intended for the infant of another species, and you're not supporting the veal industry.

NO!!!! I HATE soy milk!!! Not sure about the nutrients...

It doesn't have the exact same nutrients (the amino acids are in different proportions, to say the least), and I think they're usually calcium fortified when you buy it. No, it doesn't taste the same. It's somewhat of an acquired taste, but once you get used to it, it's actually enjoyable.

I personally cannot drink it because I'm allergic to it (My throat sort of closes up). It's sort of weird because I'm not noticeably allergic to other soy products.

it doesnt taste anything like cows milk, its quite a strange taste if youve never tried it.

No it doesnt. At first, it may taste too watery and wierd compared to normal milk. But it really grows on you and its much lighter on your stomach.

The brand I use is Alpro, and it's really great. Its a tad sweet and its creamy. Cheaper brands are way too watery so I suggest brands like Alpro and Silk,
