Nit-pickin' question?!

Question: Part of me worries that the salads prepared in fat-food joints have fat on them. "Why"? When hubby worked at those, and myself, our bodies and clothing (and the store/floor itself) had this residue...so would the salads?

who knows with those places. the scum that work there probably pick their noses and put it in the salad. or worse.

Sure but so do "organic greens" that may be grown down wind of a fast food joint or any out door place. the amount in almost zero because most of those salads in fast food joints come out of bag and straight into container to buffet or bag. Is there a chance of fat being there? sure. BUT they also are grown with all kinds of chems also. i do not believe fast food joints use organic veggies.

The best thing to do is not eat at these places, period. I don't know about working there! but definitely if I were you, I wouldn't eat at these places. Subway is about the only fast food place that I can really trust. Been eating there for years, and the bread is always fresh, the salads fresh, no fat or anyting like that!

Why would anyone go to a fast food restaurant for a salad is beyond me. Why not go to your local super market or convenient store. Or better yet make your own. It doesn't take that long to prepare a salad and you can even make it the night before just keep the dressing on the side until you are ready to eat it.
I would not trust any fast food places to make good salads.

You mean cross contamination? Possible of course. And some of the dressings will certainly have fat on them.

I guess even vegetarians are pressed for time (or get lazy like everyone else) on occasion and need to get their meals fast so salads are served in some fast food joints. And of course we all know that people have been demanding for "healthier" choices from fast food restaurants. At least they are making a token gesture even though the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Maaybe. Lol don't tell the vegans or they'll starve

what does your therapist say?
