Skinny B!tch & Skinny B!tch in the Kitch - your thoughts?!

Question: Hi Everyone,

Just wondering who has read these books and what are your thoughts?

After a recommendation from a friend, I recently ordered these two books online (one of them arrived today and after reading a short excerpt I was smiling to myself and having a bit of a snicker at my desk at work).

Just wondering if anyone else has read these books and what are your thoughts?

Perhaps this book/way of life could be quite useful in terms of converting a vegetarian into having a healthier body???

Skinny Bi!ch - I loved it.

The best part about this book was, it reached a new set of aduience. My people think that only hipies are vegan and these girls just broke that image in many ways! I hope more meat eater are turned on and tuned in to the veg*n life style!

I hear they are writing one for men - I plan on give it to my husband! - its more relatable way of being healthy!

I learnt so much. I have been veggie all my life, since reading the book, I am now a vegan!

I have no problem with the language, which people keep referring to.
I love honesty, and this book gave it!

I read Skiny *****, and I thought it was a pretty good book. I finished it in one day. There's a lot of valuable information and really makes you think about what you put in your mouth! If you're only a vegetarian, you may want to turn vegan after reading it. I was already vegan when I got the book, but after I was through with the book, it reinforced my decision to become vegan. have fun you moron! (they use that word a lot in the book) lol.

I LOVED the first one. (I too ordered it online, hee)
Its very straight forward, and gives you a few chuckles as well.
Its straight up, lots of facts. Its a GREAT book. I read it once, but Im reading it again for more depth.
It shocks you at how much crap you are really putting in your body. Its an amazing book.

Im anxious for the Skinny B!tch in the Kitch!!!!
Im ordering it tonight :D

I was already vegan when I read Skinny *****. I got it because I'd heard so much about it. It was an interesting read, of course nothing I didn't already know. Two people at work saw me reading it and asked about it. I had them both read short excerpts from it and they both ended up buying it. One got a copy for her sister. The other had already been asking me for advice on making animal/health-friendlier choices, so it seemed natural that he'd be interested. He also said his wife would love it.

I think it might work for some people. I like point-blankness of it, I don't care for the condescending tone. It is a breath of fresh air to have a real perspective on veganism. Most of the vegans I've spoken to (myself included) are more of the Skinny ***** type rather than the flaky-granola-frolic-through-the-fields-... stereotypical vegan (which I've met VERY few of. Ironically the granola-y people I've met were all omnivorous.)

I am a vegetarian and had already been one for a while before reading these books. Personally i think that the authors took it a little overboard and were a little too over the edge. they're statements were a little too outlandish to have people take them completely serious and convert to vegetarianism. A lot of what they wrote was a bit too ridiculous. Although to disprove my above statement I live with 6 other girls 5 of which have ready the books and 4 have turned vegetarian. so...? I guess it depends on how you take the information.
