about 60.

LOL random! i would say about 37, if each potato is about a pound. good luck!

right on, 60.

idk..a lot....sry thats not going to help much.....but i know its more than 1....lmfao..:]

That would depend on the type and size of potatoes. Yukon Golds, for example are fairly small and it take 3 or 4 of them to make a pound (can you tell I went grocery shopping yesterday?) If you're buying Russets, though, it would probably be more like 1 or 2 to make up a pound because thye tend to be quite a bit bigger.

why 37 lbs why not 40 yes it does sound a little shall we say dumb too?so why?

Depends on if you are going to make 'country fries' where one leaves the skin on - or if you are going to peel them. Can't do it by just counting since there is such a variety between potatoes - some smaller/larger (weigh more) than others.

If not going to peel them - 37 pounds.

If going to peel them - maybe 40 pounds - depending on how well and close you peel the potatoes.

Just weigh the potatoes - it's easier.
