Vegans love the taste of meat?!
If carnivores like myself are so wrong for eating meat, then why do vegans and some vegetarians acquire a taste for fake meat?
Your always ranting on about how veggies can taste so good, but yet you want to dip your tongue on something that has the same texture and somewhat taste of meat. That tells me that you are a natural born carnivore forcing yourselves to be otherwise. So what gives?
Second question is, why do you persecute some vegetarians for eating fish?
You say that they are not true vegetarians, but since many of you like the texture and taste of soy hot dogs and burgs, I would consider you false Vegans.
Thank You, Carnivore
Answers: This is a two part question with a few interjected thoughts.

Oh man! You are absolutely right. I am an omnivore. I enjoy food more than anyone I know. I can eat soy products too. They are gross, but I can eat them. The vegans are wrong for acting the way they do about something as trivial as this. It is our nature to do what we want. Leave us alone and let us do it. I love animals too. I especially love the way they taste. Top of the food chain over here. Your point is heard my carnivorous friend!
You're an omnivore, unless you have fangs and hunt at night, howling and growling.
I'm an omnivore myself, but I'd rather eat the individual ingredients in a veggie-dog vs. a meat hot dog. :)
I like the fact that fake meat enables people to make a greater diverse range of foods to eat but thats ok. People like not dogs and they like fake mince meat (TVP) so whats the problem?
I have never met a human carnivore. It wouldn't take long for such a person to die of scurvy and many other deficiencies.
Eat all the meat you want, I don't give a sh!t about how much meat you swallow or who it belongs to.
There is no such thing as a vegetarian that eats fish.
Vegetarians do not eat animals.
Fish are animals.
Fake meat contains no animals and doesn't usually taste very much like meat.
Look up the meaning of "persecute", please.
Have a sexy day.
I am Vegan and I do like the taste of meat. But I have been enlightened to the torture and degradation that animals and the environment go through to satisfy my tastebuds. That's why I am vegan. My tastes shouldn't be satisfied by an animal that has no say in their murder. Therefore I am boycotting meat, dairy, etc. but still eating meat subsitutes because the ones I buy are made without suffering and, to be honest, I only rarely eat them because they are so processed (although not as processed as real meat).
I can personally say that my meals are 100% cruelty-free. That's what I live for. Why are you defending the meat corporations so much anyway? You know, deep down, that it is immoral and unethical.
I love vegetables and fruits and whole grains as well as meat substitutes. And meat substitutes don't taste like real meat anyway. If it tasted exactly like the real thing, not many vegetarians or vegans would be going out to buy them.
For your second question, you ask "why do you persecute some vegetarians for eating fish?" Well, the simple fact is, is that that is not a vegetarian. Fish are animals, and they can react to stimulus and pain. Fish is Flesh!!
Carnivore I'm sad that you are so ignorant and narrowed to your own inner beliefs. Hopefully (although doubtfully) you will live a long, disease-free life.
First of all I have nothing against people who eat meat and I would never put them down for eating the way that is natural. I agree that if people crave meat but are keeping themselves from eating it just because of their ideology than they are just depriving themselves and that is not what true vegetarianism/veganism is about. I believe cutting out meat is something one does to help animals in there own way but only if they are happy doing so. (I am not saying people who eat meat are not helping animals it's just one way to do so) If they miss meat that they aren't doing it for the right reasons.
Secondly, vegetarians eat soy 'meat' products for variety. If you were eating vegetables and beans and rice all day you would want something to shake things up once in a while too. It's not because they want meat its just because they want variety in their diet. Plus when we are hanging out with our friends it is nice to eat something they are eating just for the fun of it.
Thirdly, I wish people would stop grouping vegans and vegetarians like some kind of religious cult. Not All of us think one way or another. In fact most of us don't "persecute" pescatarians (fish eating vegetarians) or carnivores like yourself. I wish people wouln't get their view o us from what a few closeminded vegetarians say. Like most things its just a personal choice and no one is attacking you for eating what you like to eat. I just wish people would stop attacking us for eating what we like to eat. I applaud people for following their bliss whether it be by eating meat or not.
There are many different kinds of vegetarians.
Some don't eat meat or fish or anything moving (including escargots)
On top of that, some also don't eat anything that grows in the ground.
Many do not eat any animal byproducts, such as eggs, milk, butter, etc.
I don't eat meat, and the taste of mock meat makes me nauseous. I have tried it when I was hospitalised, as they thought that that is what vegetarians like. Yuck!!
There are so many alternatives to meat, such as tou foo, tampe, soya, legumes, etc. etc.
Vegetarians do not suffer from high blood pressure, or heart disease. Neither do they become diabetics, or are overweight. Also, they do not have a body odour. Meat rotting in your body makes the body stink.
Please do more research before you set judgment.
Peace :)
".."
hey carnivores, why the f. are you eating my vegetables. carnivores do not eat vegetables. So are you telling me you have never eaten vegatables? Really, are saying you have always gone and hunted your food with your bare hands and only ever eaten meat? really?
Yeah start by answering that one?
As long as there is no cruelty involved, I really do not care what people eat. real/fake. why do you care so much?
Firstly, You're an omnivore, not a carnivore.
Secondly, vegans don't eat animals. I don't know if you know this or not, but check this out... soy isn't made from animals.
Thirdly, fish are animals. Vegetarians don't eat animals.
What don't you understand?
There is no collective vegetarian mind or collective vegan mind...
Veggie meat is a fast way to get protein, and most vegetarians don't give up meat because they don't like the tast of it... The taste of food doesn't determine its worth.
Also, most of the world are fish eating vegetarians, so most vegetarians are fine with it :-)... Most people, on the other hand, who have tried veganism are failures... Similar to the word tonsillitis, the word vegetarian is just a word describing what people eat. There is no diploma or ethics award given to people who don't eat meat. I would like to think most of us don't care about that because that's not what it's about anyway.
As others have said, you're not a carnivore. And a person who eats fish is not a vegetarian. It's a simple matter of dictionary definitions.
I'm not sure who you're addressing when you say 'You're always ranting on... ', or 'why do you persecute...'; do you know all the veg*ns in the world, and their ranting habits? Have we met?
We aren't 'natural born carnivores'; we are natural-born omnivores who have chosen not to eat meat. That's what gives. Not such a very big deal, is it?
Fake meats are just a way of introducing a variety of tastes and textures into the diet, something everybody craves. I've never seen fake meat shaped like an actual animal; much of it is in patty or perhaps sausage shape - just a convenient way of shaping food, whether it's made from beef or tofu, to form the centrepiece of a meal. No animal is shaped like that.
Some veg*ns gave up meat for moral reasons and miss the taste; what's wrong with that?
Your logic is flawed; vegans don't eat meat; eating something that , well, ISN'T MEAT makes them false vegans. Lol.
You have been spending some time on here trying - pretty ineffectually - to catch vegans out. Why does it bother you so much? I think you'll find few of us give a toss what you eat.
sorry but i have to say this place is not suitable for u... i got taste meat before, but it was not as good as i think... i choose to be a vegen cos i been watch how butcher kill the cow in front of my eyes.......
The vegie patties that i buy tastes like curry so it doesn't taste like meat.
So according to your logic, morals are based on taste buds, not on the suffering you actually cause to sentient beings.
I would probably like the taste of cheese if I still ate it, does that make me a calf murderer because I still like it, even though I deny myself of it to not cause exploitation?
"Your always ranting on", "why do you"
I didn't realise vegetarians and vegans were a single life form that thought with one mind and spoke with one tongue...
You have some serious stereotypes and very bad logic. I recommend you go back to pre-school and try to grasp reasoning again, it's not that tricky a concept, most of us can manage it.
Why do you care so much? You're not vegetarian and I assume you are not interested in becoming one, so why don't you mind your own business? Live and let us live.
Why do you care? If you go into the regular cooking and recipe section you will not see any vegetarians yelling at people or asking why they are cooking with meat. What do you care what I "dip my tongue" onto? Maybe you should think about what you're dipping your tongue onto the next time you eat a cheeseburger.
Many vegetarians and vegans grew up eating meat. Somewhere along the way, we realized that there is something wrong with killing an animal for our taste buds. Analogues give us taste and texture with none of the cruelty. It makes it easy to transition to veg*anism and easy to stay vegan.
Studies have shown that humans like food with certain flavors and textures--after all, an omnivore would never dream of eating animal flesh without cooking and seasoning, right? Well, we vegans like hearty, flavorful food, too. The mocks we "dip our tongues on" (ooh, kinky!) mimic the flavors used on the meats.
And when cooked right, fruits and veggies are delicious. I'm chomping on a juicy orange right now--yum!
And I don't "persecute some vegetarians for eating fish," I merely ask that they not inaccurately label themselves as vegetarian. Vegetarians do NOT consume the flesh of any animal, and fish are animals. A soy burger or wheat gluten steak is made from PLANTS and is acceptable for vegans to eat.
Got it? Plants okay, animals not.
Thank you and good night.
Vegans discriminate against plants, sorry but that's just plain wrong.
