Should I just stop myself from eating meat?

well I think you should start by cutting back. If you don't crave it, just stop. You're right, it is gross and not that great for you. If you can get your protein some other way, I say go for it! I noe it's not easy. Good Luck.

That's a personal decision.

simple answer
become a vegetarian

yes.

if you don't enjoy it then why eat it? do you eat other things you don't enjoy?

Think of how in nature animals are killed for food all the time. I have no problem with NON EXCESSIVE eating of meat, and besides, for every animal you don't eat I will eat three.

Maybe become a vegetarian. Eating meat is just the way of nature though. Animals kill each other all the time for food. Not pretty to think about yes, but it is necessary.

You should be vegetarian if you think meat is gross!! but remember being vegetarian is not just cutting down meat, its a whole different lifestyle and you'll have to find proteins in other foods to get a good nutrition!

i would personally become vegan, well i did. i had the same issue, just went right into being vegan, feel amazing and way more energetic, body changed shape alot too, not really lost much weight, but body has build so it looks more healthy...in my eyes way worth it if you are concerned about animal welfare

yep

naw man u trippen, stop eating meat!(WTF).Do you know in the souf dats all we eat,it aint gon getcha sick.Stop thinkin bout dat just think about dat barbeque on it,or how good it spells getting cooked.Dats the first rule for soulfood.Have meat included,ALWAYS.

It is all up to you.. IF you dont want to eat meat because of how it makes you feel then OK.. IF yuo want to eat meat then DO!! They dont kill animals if they are the HEALTHIEST and BEST animals.. They kill the ones with the MOST meat.. basically the FATTY FAT ones!! They dont HARM the animals.. and yes it does kill them.. but think of how it would be if they DIDNT kill the animals and there would be THE MOST VERY WORST OVER POPULATION!!

No, even though you may feel bad for the animals that die just to eat the meat it's the circle of life. You always see animals eating other animals, right? Well, it's just the same with us. Many animals were put on this Earth for us to eat and to balance out other animals that get eaten that we don't eat. Though, if you really do feel bad then just eat meat every once in a while and mostly eat vegetables and other stuff.

just think its vegetables or fruits or made from fruits or veggies

if you feel strongly enough for political reasons then yes stop eating all meat and meat byproducts such as eggs or cow milk or goat cheese. or simply try to purchase only organically raised freerange chickens or hormone free pork or organic beef these items are available at places such as whole foods markets. Read more about sustainable seafood
support the local vegie farmers or farmer's markets in your area. Do a google for stores that sell these healthy products. and remember chickens and pigs and cows and ducks and fish are all part of the food chain, however there are healthy choices and not so healthy choices. Have you ever read the book fast food nation? or seen the movie? or the movie super size me? good viewing... i hope this helps..

u no u can b a vegatarian and it's good dat u tink dat it's a bad thing wen animals r slaughtered at a slaughter house!

That is what happens when you listen to too much rhetoric.

Meat-free sources of protein: Beans, nuts, legumes, some grains. Sources of iron: Spinach, broccoli, blueberries, beets, there's many more. If you do decide to stop eating meat, do research to find plant-based substitutes for what you get from meat. It's your choice either way.

Don't worry about not eating meat, it's really healthier. I was vegan for 20 years. Your problem is intruding, obsessing thoughts...not abnormal if you are 12. If you can 'stop-think' by not eating meat.....problem solved! Enjoy an ice cream cone. You'll get over it, less of course you learn just how great it feels to be healthy.

For modern animal agriculture, the less the consumer knows about what’s happening before the meat hits the plate, the better. If true, is this an ethical situation? Should we be reluctant to let people know what really goes on, because we’re not really proud of it and concerned that it might turn them to vegetarianism?

If the public knew more about the way in which agricultural and animal production infringes on animal welfare, the outcry would be louder. In my opinion, if most urban meat eaters were to visit an industrial broiler house, to see how the birds are raised, and could see the birds being ‘harvested’ and then being ‘processed’ in a poultry processing plant, they would not be impressed and some, perhaps many of them would swear off eating chicken and perhaps all meat.

Humans—who enslave, castrate, experiment on, and fillet other animals—have had an understandable penchant for pretending animals do not feel pain. A sharp distinction between humans and ‘animals’ is essential if we are to bend them to our will, make them work for us, wear them, eat them— without any disquieting tinges of guilt or regret.

It is unseemly of us, who often behave so unfeelingly toward other animals, to contend that only humans can suffer. The behavior of other animals renders such pretensions specious. They are just too much like us.

True human goodness, in all its purity and freedom, can come to the fore only when its recipient has no power. “Humanity’s true moral test, its fundamental test (which lies deeply buried from view), consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals. And in this respect humankind has suffered a fundamental debacle, a debacle so fundamental that all others stem from it.

When nonvegetarians say that ‘human problems come first’ I cannot help wondering what exactly it is that they are doing for human beings that compels them to continue to support the wasteful, ruthless exploitation of farm animals.

Let your parents to visit the nearby factory farm and slaughterhouse, or at least watch this…MEET YOUT MEAT…

That's a decision only you can make. About 99 out of every 100 animals killed in this country are "food" animals, so I'd go veg if animal protection is important to you. See http://vegcooking.com/makingthetransitio... for lots of info, food ideas, and transition tips. Good luck!

Good. Animals are not suppose kill and eat. We should allow them to live. They are not born to make mans meal. There are enough vegitables to eat.

Eat vegitables and live a longer life.

I kill animals, but I slit their throats just quick enough so they don't suffer. Don't worry, they don't feel any pain. Now go and have a nice hot dog.

Answer is simple become a Vegetarian.. read up about it in your Library.. look at all the veggie books there! also if you want some sort of meat eat fake meat.. see my recipe in my blog ca.360.yahoo.com/ddherbals

I had the same problem, I quit eating meat and now I feel much better. Despite what people who are against us say, the animals do suffer everyday before slaughter.

If eating meat makes you feel bad, don't eat it. There are plenty of great analogues out there that have all the taste and none of the cruelty.

Only your wife or girlfriend will be upset!!

How did you think the animals were treated all the times you enjoyed your meat? It tastes good because your body needs it, and as a human, you require it.
Don't stop yourself, you don't want to get into this self righteous attitude that everyone is gross for eating what their body needs and wants.
When you go to the bathroom, thats gross too, but you still do it.:-)

No. God made those animals for humans to survive off them. They didn't have cooked spinach back then. It's what God intended for most of them.
