What does being Vegan mean?!

Question: Does being Vegan mean you place human emotion (compassion) into the thought of animals being killed for food? If so, how do you feel about eating a still-born animal that didn't suffer?

Seriously.

Seriously.

I'm pretty sure "Vegan" means you hail from the relatively nearby star system of Vega, which can be seen in the constellation Lyra. It is also featured in the movie Contact starring Jodie Foster and Matthew Mcconaughey. I plan to retire there.

Yes Vegan means that. And eating an animal that didn't suffer is fine with me.

it means you dont eat any meat or a by-product of an animal. For example Eggs or leather. Yes, leather is cow skin.

No animals at all. No meat, milk, leather, crocodile purses, fur coats etc.
Not even if the animal died without suffering.

you dont eat meat or any dairy products

it means that you don't eat anything that came from animals. i.e. milk, cheese, beef, pork, ect...it doesn't matter if it was still born, it was still alive at one time

vegan:a vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet.
which means u don't eat animals or anything that has been produced by animals.

being vegan means you eat ABSOLUTELY nothing that comes from animals, no eggs, milk, meat, none of it, just tofu and veggies if you ask me, i think it is a very unhealthy way to go, humans need protein. i don't eat meat often, it's not bad to be a veggitarian, but vegan is a little unhuman

going vegan is usually not eating any animal product, sympathizing with animals is a personal choice.

Not stillborn, not roadkill, not even if it died of old age on Old Macdonald's farm.

Ever hear of heart disease? Cancer?

Vegan is a person who doesn't eat any animal products at all like eggs, milk, chesse, etc.

i'm a vegan. i don't eat meat or any animal product...nothing that comes from an animal! even honey, or products with gelatin. think of it this way...how would you feel eating a still-born puppy or kitten? why do people feel compassion for domestic animals and not non-domestic animals?

For animals to be good to eat, they have to bleed....their blood must leave their body while their heart is beating. So a still born wouldn't be edible.

Being vegan means not eating any meat, or any by-product of a living thing.
Usually the source of becoming a vegan is because of compassion and feeling for the animals in question, but if you choose to become vegan anyway, even if that is not your reason, you are still considered a vegan.
I myself am not a vegan, nor a vegatarian, but I believe that most vegans would still choose not to eat the still-born animal.

they dont eat meat

Being vegan means we don't eat, wear, or use animal products as far as is practical and possible.

I'd leave the stillborn for someone who likes to eat meat. But I'm sure they'd think that was gross, right? ;)
