What is the Chinese name for this kind of tofu?!

Question: When i worked in china for a year i use to eat this LOVELY tofu dish. I can't remember the name but it used tofu which didn't look like tofu at all. It was like thin sheets of paper whcih was really tofu adn it was cut into strips and sometimes cooked with meat and pepers. Anyone know the name of this tofu ? i would like to search for it, but i can't remember the name of it. i THOUGHT when i was in china they told me it was the skin of tofu , but when i googled tofu skin i got something that looked NOTIHING like it.........so now im not sure. Does anyone know what this kind of tofu is called ? the closest i found was something called " bai ye jie" it's very similar but it's tied into knots.
