Do vegeterians eat fish?!
Answers: I'm a vegeterian and i don't eat fish because i consider it as still being an animal. I'm pretty that if you do your called a 'pescatarian'. but a lot of my vegeterian friends insist that they are still a vegeterian if they eat fish, and that most vegeterians do. is this true?
no im a vegitarian and i Do Not eat fish. i kno people that say theyre a vegitarian, but theyll eat fish and chicken haha yea... um that kinda bugs me... lol
No it's not true. Your friends are obviously misinformed. I read somewhere that 96% of a woman's sources of misinformation are her own friends. Fish is meat, you know. Tell your stupid friends to show you the roots, leaves and flowers of the fish.
No.
It's pretty cut and dried. Fish are animals. Vegetarians don't eat animals. If you eat animals you're an omnivore. "Pescetarians" eat fish. Again, fish are animals. Therefore, pescetarians are omnivores, not vegetarians.
Don: I find it awkward when lacto/ovo vegetarians try to use the "fish don't grow on trees so it's not vegetarian", or in your case mention the roots, flowers, and leaves. Eggs and dairy don't grow on trees either, nor do they have roots, flowers, and leaves. Methinks that line only works coming from or speaking to someone who claims (incorrectly) to be a strict vegetarian or vegan.
no duhhhhhhh
no
A lot of people who claim to be vegetarian still eat fish. They are incorrect though, true vegetarians do not eat any animals weather they live on land or under the sea. If you are looking for an easy way to explain your dietary restrictions you can tell them you do not eat anything that has (or had) a face.
You're right and your friends are mistaken. Point them here: http://www.vegsoc.org/info/definitions.h... if they are confused. I will never understand why some people think vegetarians don't eat some dead animals but do eat other dead animals.
If you wanna eat fish so bad, Just eat it !
some vegetarians eat fish, but i think that just isn't sensible
Some do some don't some vegetarian's eat egg and dairy cheese as well. Depends. on where you fall.
most vegeterians don't eat fish.i know that because my big cousin is a vegeterian and he never eats fish. Anyway, fish is a type of animal and vegeterians only eat vegetables and fruit.
It depends on the area where you live. In India during olden days the Bengal region use to get heavy rains for months together. Hence during rainy season the vegetarians will starve without fresh and healthy vegetarian food. Due to this Indian Shastras (you can equate it to Bible for Christians) allowed the vegetarians to eat fish which will be available very easily during rainy season. Hence in that region fish was called 'Jala Pushpa' (in the Sanskrit language, Jala means water and Pushpa means flower).
Even now also in Bengal region of India alone Fish is considered as vegetarian food, whereas in the other regions of India it is not.
No. But don't give your friends a hard time about it. If they cut out other meat sources they're doing a good thing.
yes they do its only if you are vegan
no, they are animals
WHY are all these Vegans so angry ? Just answer the question. People in Jamaica and surrounding Island eat fish and will on occasions eat turkey legs on a holiday and they are strict Vegans. Not as angry as American Vegans appear
Vegetarians should NEVER eat fish because it is an ANIMAL not a plant! \f they eat fish they aren't real vegetarians! Vegetarians that do not eat ANY ANIMAL including seafood! I just became a vegetarian this week and i did eat fish for a while thinking it was all right for me to eat it but than I came here looking to make sure it was all right but i discovered we veggies cannot eat a single animal! If they do eat meat or any other animal flesh they are not vegetarian! they are a meat-eater! So in conclusion your friends are wrong about fish. Fish are friends not food:Finding Nemo bruce and buddies(by the way Dolphins and whales are NOT fish)but they are mammals.
