A questions for vegitarians or health nuts.?!

Question: ive been recently thinking about cutting out meat and fast food, anything thats basically not fresh food (like fruits and vegetables). i still want to eat macaroni and cheese ya know stuff like that every now and then. but if i start eating fresh food how do i get protein w/o having to take supplements? anyother pointers would also be a great help. the reason why i am doing this because everytime i eat meat or fast food(which isnt alot) i feel sick, my stomach can hurt hours after eating. but when i eat veggies or fruit it never hurts. and i kinda want to start living healthier. im 22. like i said any pointers would be great! thanks.

*nuts*, the answer's in your question LOL... seeds, legumes, nuts, tofu all have lotsa protein. I'm vegan n dont take any supplements. I just make sure to eat a great variety of fruits, vegies, nuts, beans, breads, n juices. eat well and you'll be fine... good luck =)

peanut butter,beans multi-vitamins

Mushrooms darling, mushrooms.

Most of the vegetables and fruits should cover your vitamin and mineral needs just fine. Its the protein intake that you need to take care off. And adding yogurt and tofu to your diet should take care of it.

Beans, nuts, peanut butter, eggs.

Some vegetables have a lot of protein as well.

soy, beans, lentils, nuts, whey shakes, stuff like that.

You can get protein from legumes, seeds, nuts, some fruits .. most everything you eat. The best way to get it is to eat a variety of that stuff everyday.

Pranika ^^^ the correct term is Pescatarian. Aquatarian would mean you consume many types of water.

If you're getting enough calories, you're getting enough protein. You would get plenty of protein, even if you consumed nothing but potatoes. Protein deficiencies are rarely seen outside of cases of kwashiorkor.

What your body needs, technically, isn't protein but amino acids, and it makes most of those by recycling tissues. Of the ones it doesn't produce, all are readily available in plant sources.

Eat lentils.

beans, nuts, tofu, and FLAX seeds. Bragg's liquid aminos are great too, it's kinda like soy sauce in taste. You can spritz it on your veggies, make dressings or marinades for tofu, i love it!

Don't eat any of the meat with grease because the grease hurts your stomach but if your want to live healthier cut out meat or you can buy fake meat 100% vegitarian and healthy so i think it's very good to cut out meat if you take my advice.

Well why not become an Aquatarian? That way you can eat fish!
