Question: My daughters 6th birthday party soon, we're are doing a Nature theme, butterfly shaped cake, animal shaped cookies etc.

Need idea's for interesting & fun finger food which must also be suitable for her vegetarian school friends.

pizza always goes down well and how about snail sandwiches
roll out slices of bread to flatten cheese or choc spread fillings roll up and add grape heads

licorice spiders, gummy bugs/butterflys use alot of pretzels and small candies etc to create, if kids are supervised let them make party foods with supplies as part of party then eat with group. Also fun to have party potluck and have others bring foods they enjoy made in an interesting way.

Cheese quesadillas, cut with a butterfly cookie cutter or a different Natured-Theme cutter of some sort, and celery sticks with peanut butter and topped with raisins.......do they sell "BUG JUICE" where you live?? My daughter is 11 and she stills likes that juice......I only see it in 7-11's now though.........have fun!!!!! Good Luck!!

Lot of salads .... fresh green veggies and fruit juices. You just have be a little innovative so that you disguise the real stuff inside, so use a lot of garnish with chocolate and cheers.

- 'Frogs in a pond' is a really good idea for kids. Just make some green jelly (or any other colour you want) in individual plastic cups and add a milk or white chocolate frog to each cup before the jelly has set.
- sour worms, gummy snakes, red or green frogs, dinosaur lollies etc.
- cupcakes with animals on top (eg. a caterpiller made from m&m's, a flower made out of marshmallows or jelly beans etc.)
- fruit skewers
- carrot/cucumber/celery sticks with dip.

i'm not very creative but this is a cute idea :) pizza always goes over well (maybe mini pizza bagels) and they make veggie hot dogs and corn dogs which i'm sure kids will love (they cover everything in ketchup anyway!)

Jello jigglers cut with cookie cutters into fun shapes.

Rice krispies cut with a star cookie cutter - then insert a stick for a fairy wand treat.
