Do Vegetarians, who have cats & dogs,Feed them with Meat ?!
Answers: I am not a vegetrarian, and mine are natural meat eaters.
Dogs are omnivores and can live on veggie diet, cats are carnivores and need meat, you can get veggie cat food with synthsized taurine, but having read both sides of the arguement, I have decided to feed my cat meat, I am a vegan!
Also I feel it would be cruel to change the cat's diet as I had her before I became vegan, and feel it would be wrong to force my diet on her. You dont become a vegan overnight, it takes time to get the wear out of your old belts and shoes etc. I probably wouldn't have another cat in future. If you think that feeding my cat meat makes me not vegan.... then whatever!
Some do some don't. Dogs and cats are carnivores, so they kind of need meat. Humans are omnivores and they don't need meat.
That's a good question actually, surely if they did that it would be going agaisnt all they believe in, I don't know, but I would've thought they didn't
Yes i go to a holistic health retreat where everyone is veggie they have two cats and give them both meat as it is the natural thing for them to have but they do have a separate room where they prepare the food for kitty so that no cross contamination can occur
Yes they NEED it we don't.
yes they do
my veggie friends dont you can get veggie cat and dog foods
my dogs love quorn, I'm not veggie and i give them meat, but my daughter is and always shares her quorn with them.
Yes they do.All cats and dogs are carnivores and need to eat meat aswell as doggy biscuits and sausages unlike us humans which are omnivores and eat both meat and veg. It's kind of part of their diet you know.
I bet some idiots don't. They think it's all cool and righteous to push their vegetarian ways onto others including their animals which is cruel. Cats and dogs are carnivores and so naturally eat meat. To prevent them from having meat I would imagine will make one unhappy pet and reduce their lifespan.
I'm all for having the choice of being vegetarian or not but that is similar to religion. If that's what you choose to be then fine but don't try and push it into other people's faces and certainly your animals who have no choice whatsoever.
Well, It depends on an individual. Some do feed them with meat and some don't . This is my personal experience with some of my veggie friends.
Vegetarian (and vegan) dog and cat foods are readily available.
A friend of mine who keeps 3 search and rescue dogs, in the Scottish Highlands, and regularly uses them with his mountain rescue team, and which dogs are very healthy indeed, feeds them nothing else.
Being a meat eater myself, I've often wondered why I get funny looks in vegetarian restaurants, when I ask what their "meat option of the day" might be.
If we didn't then technically it be animal cruelty
Dogs do not need meat but if they have been brought up with it it might not be very kind to stop it completely.
Cats need the taurine that they can only get from meat.
cats are actually the only true carnivoures.which is why i have a 2 dogs. im veagn and i think it defeats the purpose to refrain from eating meat if you buy meat for your animals. so my dogs eat only veggie dog food and veggie dog treats!
I'm vegan and I feed my cat meat. (I have a cat because that cat was rescued from an abusive situation, before anyone asks)
Cats need meat, and if you aren't prepared to feed them meat you shouldn't have a cat.
some vegetarians do , vegans dont , they make pet food that has no meat or meat products in it and some people say pets HAVE to have meat , they dont , the non-meat food gives them all the nutrients they need.
Some do and some don't. My dog eats food made with, among other ingredients, organic non-factory raised chicken. If I lived alone and kept a vegan household, I'd consider some of the excellent commercial veg*n dog food preparations. But I live with an omnivore and, as long as there is meat being brought into my home for my boyfriend, I'm not going to deny the dog what I think he'd prefer (though he's mad for carrots, apples and pumpkin, too!)
it must be the same principul for animal meat that is it for human meat s it wouild be bloody hypercrytical to feed them meat and they cant believe in their beliefs very much.
