Is it ok for vegetarians to eat fish tuna etc?!

Question: yes it is okay for vegetarians to eat tuna fish or any kind of fish that they want.. In fact they can eat anything they want... They just can't call themselves vegetarians anymore. That would be like having sex and still calling yourself a "virgin".

Answers: yes it is okay for vegetarians to eat tuna fish or any kind of fish that they want.. In fact they can eat anything they want... They just can't call themselves vegetarians anymore. That would be like having sex and still calling yourself a "virgin".

They can eat whatever they want, but If they eat fish, they aren't vegetarian.

Some believe that its just getting rid of the "red-meat" Webster Dictionary says 1. a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.

Do what you feel is going to make you happy and also will coincide with your beliefs

Vegetarians do not eat animals. Cows, pigs, Easter bunny, head lice, dust mites and fish are animals.

vegetarians are not suppose to eat fish!

being vegetarian is a personal choice. you have to decide WHY you have chosen this lifestyle (many choose it because of cruelty to animals, some believe that eating other living beings is just wrong, etc) then you have to decide WHAT kind of vegetarian you are going to be. a strict "vegan" will not eat eggs or fish, but a more lax vegetarian might. depends on the person and what they feel is right.

Then you wouldn't be a vegetarian, you would be pescatarian:)

This questions been asked umpteen times and the answer is always the same

NO, VEGETARIANS DO NOT EAT ANY LIVING THING, THAT'S MEAT,
WHETHER IT COMES FROM A COW, PIG, LAMB OR A FISH.

Let that be an end fgs.

If you want to eat fish call yourself a piscetarian.

TECHNICALLY speaking yes, but I'm a veggie and it kind of destroys the point of not eating animals, regardless of what "label" the animal is given.

Its perfectly fine for anyone to eat fish (unless you have an allergy) But if you do eat fish then you lose your trendy 'vegetarian' label. And become simply a faddy eater

I don't care what people say I am a vegetarian and I eat fish this is not because of people forcing me to eat it it, it is because I chose and actually there is a type of vegetarianism that allows you to eat fish but not meat or poultry it is called pesco vegetarianism.

It's fine to eat whatever you feel morally comfortable with, but vegetarians do NOT eat any animals, including fish.

you can eat whatever you want, but if you eat fish, you are not a vegetarian.. Just like if you have black hair you are not a "blonde" you simply don't fit the definition..

Vegetarians do not eat fish.

Fish are members of the animal kingdom and vegetarians don't eat animals. No, anyone who eats fish and calls themselves a vegetarian is mistaken.

sure, but they wouldn't be vegetarians then.

well kinda, that would actually be "pescetarianism" which some catigorize as vegetarian...

If you eat fish, you would be called a pescotarian. I started out only eating fish but now im starting to elimate fish all together.
Pescotarians are actually healthier then vegetarians. Also, fish don't feel as much pain as land animals do, so thats why i didnt feel as guilty eating them.

Depends what type of vegetarian you are. For example, a person who only eats chicken and no other meat is a white vegetarian. I would go on about all the different names, but i forgot them :P
I used to only eat fish and chicken, then only vegetables then finally i am now vegan.

yes of course i am a vegetarian and i eat quite a bit of fish you have to keep your proteins up, i also eat chicken, turkey, pork, etc but i will not eat beef, lamb, sheep, and all the other red meats
