Being "organic" has nothing to do with the way in which the animal died. Organic meat is meat that has come from an animal reared on an organic farm and that has never been fed anything that has been exposed to chemicals, artifical fetilisers etc. Your 'vegetarian' friend has gone against their principles on this one I'm afraid.

Well, whatever gets him laid.

Organic meat, means it was grass-fed & not given antibiotics or hormones. Animals which die 'naturally' are dog food.
Your friend is a 'bull-shooter'!

If you eat meat you are not a vegetarian. He was probably eating some sort of soy concoction (which isn't organic meat).

Organic meat is when animals aren't given growth hormones, antibiotics and other shots/additives. The health benefits aren't really clear with organic meat.

Organic meat just means the animal was fed organic feed without pesticides and wasn't pumped full of hormones.

Vegetarian doesn't mean you only eat organic food. And yes, as you know, vegetarians don't eat meat.

Organic doesn't mean that the animal died naturally. Organic beef means that the cow was only fed organically grown (with no pesticides) grains.

Your friend is mistaken. To be a vegetarian, you cannot eat any kind of meat.

Vegetarians don't eat meat, whether it's organic or not.

Show your friend these sites:

http://www.cok.net/lit/freerange.php

"On organic and free-range farms, most animals are mutilated without the use of painkillers, kept in filthy, disease-ridden sheds, and finally forced to endure a long trip to the slaughterhouse without food or water. There are no humane slaughterhouses—in fact, free-range and organic animals are often sent to the same slaughterhouses that kill animals from factory farms"

well if the animal died naturally ,, it isnt vegetatian..its called something.. i cant remember tho..
but veg. dont eat anything that came from an animal

he's not a vegetarian! you cannot eat meat at all if you're vegetarian, no exceptions. organic meat though, is meat coming from animals who weren't given supplements (such as steroids) to make them grow faster/more. also, they were raised in a natural environment and yes, it dies on its own. im vegetarian though. i recommend it :)

Yeah, vegetarians and Peta people are pretty strange. I think they are all bullshitters.

It's called hypocrisy. PETA and Vegans are rife with it.

I believe that whatever lowers the prices of meat is best. If that involves beating the living crap out of defenseless animals, than so be it. Sorry but i g2g eat a fat loaded juicy bloody steak that came from a cow that was prodded every day of his life. GOD I LOVE MY LIFE
