There aren't really many, Most people become them because they don't like to eat animals.

But know that you are going to lose a valued part of the food pyramid.

The reasons to become a vegitarian are that you're saving countless animal lives. If you care about animals at all you will become one.

For the environment: Growing all the crops to feed farmed animals requires massive amounts of water and land—in fact, nearly half of the water and 80 percent of the agricultural land in the United States are used to raise animals for food. Farmed animals produce about 130 times as much excrement as the entire human population of the United States, and since factory farms don't have sewage treatment systems as our cities and towns do, this concentrated slop ends up polluting our water, destroying our topsoil, and contaminating our air.

For your health: Research has shown that vegetarians are 50 percent less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40 percent of the cancer rate of meat-eaters

go to peta2.com and click on what they never told you or watch meet your meat that should help you with lots of reasons

umm... have you been to a slaugher house? that's enough of a reason for me. my dad used to raise pigs to sell and slaugher. it was horrifing. once when i was 4, i saw my aunt and uncle kill a piglet. blood splattered all over my face.

becuase pigs are cute :)

Its cruel to animals
Good Health
Weight loss

Being vegan will be more better though.

It is the best way to keep mind and body healthy. Secondly why kill animals when ample food is available for all? Let the animal survive and enjoy their time.....

i dont see ne reasons 4 nebody 2 becum veg but sum cant bear the fact of eating animals so they becum veg

O.K. although I am not vegetarian, maybe the beef recall will make more people become one. Many people do it for moral reasons and others for health. I do not recommend going to sites though that are for animal cruelty. I will not go any further as I got a violation for doing so. I will maybe give you a site that I know though www.thetruthaboutpeta.com

Compassion, health, environment. These are just the few reasons to be a vegetarian/vegan. - (nothing to do with peta!)

I can eat 0 animals. or I can 1000 animals. But like everyone else, I will die. So I would rather die of a good heart and soul, knowing that I did not cause pain to another creature.

There are millions, if not billions of people all over the world that are vegetarian or vegan by religion or personal choice.

It is hard choice at first, I am told, but its really not big deal.

if you would like to know more, please feel free to email. - good luck.
