Smart, caring people only?!

Question: Do cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, lamb, deserve such a terrible life in a slaughterhouse? These poor animals mean no harm to us, and if we care for them, they will love us. Why do sickos like this stuff? Can you give me a smart, caring answer about what you think about animal cruelty.

P.S. why do people say that "The animals need to die. They have no place to live. They'll be overcrowded."
We should stop them from reproducing, if it requires them to not have any more that's better than breeding them to live a terrible life. If anything I would suggest more organic meat, but some countries, such as Africa, Egypt, and China, who don't plan to save animals any time soon, torture animals.

Please tell me what you think.

I am sure you mean by slaughterhouse the so-called farms the animals are raised in, no they do not deserve that life, nor the slaughterhouse process either. I have known about factory farms for just a couple of years, when I first found out about them I became sick, disgusted, and depressed. It is unbelievable what is happening to these animals that are completely innocent. I can see the pain, fear, saddness in their eyes when I see the pics of them, and the few seconds of the videos I should never see. Animal cruelty needs to be stopped, there is something extremley wrong with it. Maybe even deeper than we could ever think, who knows. I hate anybody who harms animals, who laughs at their torture, who don't give a s**t about what is going on so they can eat their meat. I cannot even stand to think about all the atrocities happening to animals in this world. People only say that animals need to die, they are here for us, they would go extinct.... because they want to continue to eat meat, they don't want to know the truth about what is happening to animals. I believe the animals have souls, and what humans are doing to them will come back to them in the end.

i agree with you 100%, I am vegan. Its my way of limiting the harm!

"Do cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, lamb, deserve such a terrible life in a slaughterhouse?"
Of course not. Nothing does. The reason why 'sickos' do this is because it is quick and easy way of getting money. Of course, this doesnt mean its quick and painless for the animals.

I have actually watched some PETA videos from the website and its just horrific that some people can actually sleep at night when they've commited such brutel acts. One of my friends (who used to love eating meat) became a vegetarian due to some videos he saw in a slaughter house.

Our family friends, who I feel most sorry for, are vegetarians and they had to work at a slaughterhouse. Quite ironic really, but they could barely sleep at night because of the horrors that they saw.
One of a cow and someone sliced it open and its barely alive calf fell out of it and landed on the floor.

So yes, it is one of the most terrifying and disgusting places you'd ever encounter since you can literally smell and see the fear on the animals faces. Its wrong in everyway possible.

success fo you,,,,,,,,,!!!

I think you are looking for someone to endorse your pre-decided point of view on omni- or carnivores. You've already decided those who disagree with you are not "smart" or "caring," since those things are incompatible with animal cruelty. It's like me putting up a question that says, "Do you think competitive people, who selfishly decide that they need to prove 'intellectual superiority' over other people, are wrong for demeaning anyone who disagrees with them?"

Your question answers itself, at least for you.

I know of no sane and caring person that is 'for' animal cruelty - vegetarian/vegan or meat eater.

Most people have no thought of the process that the food that they find in the market place goes thru to get there. The process isn't even like it was just 50 years ago either.

I live in Texas. I live in a rural area. When I lived in Italy - I lived in a rural area. Seeing family raise animals that you knew were going to be on the dinner table - you didn't name - they were not pets. They were well taken care of because they were the source of food for the family.

So I see the point from both perspectives - having been a meat eater and now a vegetarian. The only point that I don't see is abuse of animals. It makes no sense.

To start off, no. No animal should be treated to a terrible life such as you mentioned. I think its disturbing that animals are born into this world just to live an abusive life and get killed.
To me, all creatures are unique, amazing that have some form of beauty and that we can learn from. When animals are free to roam and live throughout the ecosystem, and everything works together, its beautiful. My opinion is that everything should live a free-willed life.

There are two things that motivate some people to say that animals need to die.
A: They want to keep eating meat and don't think of or care about what the lives the animals have to go though.
or
*: They refuse to take the initiative to think of an alternate solution to the population issue you mentioned.

I also cant stand the fact that i am forced to grasp the concept that we, as humans, are rewarding people for killing off animals that people want to eat, and yet at the same time (although i am glad that they are) arresting people for poaching the endangered ones. What would happen to the endangered animals if they suddenly became overpopulated too? What would we do if cows or chickens were near extinction?

Do cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, lamb, deserve such a terrible life in a slaughterhouse?
Nothing ever deserves to be tortured and die. People are so cruel to animals.
P.S. why do people say that "The animals need to die. They have no place to live. They'll be overcrowded."
Animals are overcrowded because farmers breed them to eat. If meat factories stopped, then there would be a good amount of animals.

Human need to die also... They (more than half) have no place to live. They are ALREADY been overcrowded.

Shall we kill and eat human???

If we shouldn't, then in WHAT reason animal should?

There is no life in the slaughterhouse. That's where the animals are killed so that other animals called people can eat them. If that bothers you then don't eat animals like what some people are already doing.
If you stop them from reproducing, wouldn't that cause for the species to become extinct one day? Is that what you want? You are suffering froms seeing the plight of animals, should we stop you from reproducing too?
You have so much "knowledge" and concern of the goings-on in other countries such as Africa (which is a continent by the way not a country) Egypt and China but do you even know anything about the culture of any of those places? Have you ever even spoken to a native or citizen of those places?

Well, it's a good thing you asked the question because you pretty much excluded yourself with the line "smart and caring people only..".

Seeing how you think you know a lot but really you know nothing, I suggest you spend more time doing school work and less time on the internet and YA.

My question is why do you think they are raised in the slaughterhouse. They don't live there all their life. All those animals receive better health care then me or you and they are guaranteed the food they need to survive.... ....You don't receive the health care you need all the time and you are forced to slave at a job in order to make the minimum lifestyle you currently live and when you get old you will be warehoused in some old folks home where you are subject to torture. To say that people who eat meat are cruel is like saying that those who only eat veggies are ignorant one has nothing to do With the other. some of the cruelest people that ever lived were veggie eaters. maybe that is the problem we kill for food and you kill for fun .

Thanks for the giggle. Why do you feel the need to spew your self-righteous opinion onto the world? Don't feed me the junk about how you just want the best. I'd point out what you are but I'm sure a bunch of the zealots would just cry foul and report me. Animals are raised for meat and if you don't like it don't eat them it's that simple.

No, they don't.
I don't have any love for the meat packing industry. It's disgusting, and even if people don't care about the animals, so many of those places are unsanitary and downright dangerous to human beings.
That's one thing I really loved about growing up in the country. We could either hunt our meat or get it from down the road where we knew that the animal had a decent life walking around outside and was feed grass and feed, not ground up animals. We didn't have to worry about getting ground up sh*t in our hamburgers. No wonder it tasted so much better...

what do I think............I think that you are saying that all people who eat meat don't care and are dumb.........that is a very shallow statement

I think you need to be open to the fact that these animals you mention are not as normal animals are. They aren't captured in the wild and put into a cage to slowly die or anything like that.

These are animals that are grown, for food, for humans. They would never have lived otherwise. It is right to say they need to die. Not just because of overcrowding, but also because it was their purpose, the reason they were bred.

Watch THE LION KING little girl.
It will teach you about the "Circle of Life".
Man did not climb to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

I dont understand the question. Why are people cruel? It's human nature.
