Are lacto-ovo vegitarians allowed to eat shellfish?!

Question: A lacto-ovo vegitarian is a vegitarian who consumes dairy products and non-fertilised egg products. Are shrimp, lobster, or crab considered meat? If not, is it okay if they eat them?

No, no, and no. Once you eat an animal, you're a meat eater. The idea behind vegetarianism is not to eat any animals.

No, lacto-ovo means dairy and eggs only. I think it's ok to eat them but I'm not a vegetarian, vegetarians would say no.

No vegetarians are allowed to eat shellfish, unless you are a "fishitarian".

are the shrimp police going to arrest you for eating a shellfish? no. why do vegetarians get so judgemental about what people eat? if you eat this then you are not that etc. get over yourselves.

People are "allowed" to eat whatever they want. No vegetarian eats animals. That's the point of being a vegetarian, we don't want to eat animals.

Fish = animals.

no shell fish ....unclean...they clean the waste from the water....like eating a sea going cockroach.....gross

no, they're not allowed to. but if you're a pescetarian (vegetarian who eats fish) like me, you can also eat shellfish.
