Do vegans bite their nails ?!

Question: is it animal flesh ?

Answers: is it animal flesh ?

yes
why not
It's your own flesh anyway.
Does this make someone a cannibal when they eat their own nails?
I would highly doubt it.

WOW elvis grow up u idiot

Hows biting nails would be "Animal Flesh" ?

Vegans are vegan for environmental, humanitarian and animal suffering reasons.

But to answer your question, I don't bite my nails, there are so many germs and bacteria under your nails, it is very unsanitary.

I am shocked at the first post....please ignore that ignorant person!

Like our hair, our fingernails are made of keratin, it's not really flesh, our hair and nails are not "living" parts of us. No nerves in them, that's why we don't feel it when we cut our hair or nails. It's still a part of our bodies, just like other animal's nails or hair, though.

If a human being bites his own nails it's a consensual act and does not exploit animals in any way, which is really the point of being vegan. Vegans aim to minimize their contributions to animal exploitation as much as they can.

Same as swapping bodily fluids during sex acts, breast feeding, or kissing your kid's "boo boo" (scrape) on their knee.

Also, it's impossible to generalize "do all vegans bite their fingernails?". I do, it's a nervous habit, but the vegan that posted above me (hi, Ms. Z :] ) doesn't bite her nails - I wish I could stop too.

its not animal flesh

:)
