because your craving was chocolate, i think you deal with that, rather than worrying about straying from being a vegan, i dont think its about the animal product its about chocolate craving, does that make sense?
they have developed patches now, because addiction to chocolate is now recognised as real, they are like smokers patches and i will leave a link at the bottom, BUT, i know someone who did something similar (wanted to cut chocolate for weight reasons) and on the same principal as the patches but without the cost, she got a fabric sticky plaster, and vanilla extract, has to be EXTRACT not essence since it is synthetic, she put the band aid on her wrist and added 2 or 3 drops of the extract. Sniffing this quells the want of chocolate, strange but true, it has to be worth a try

like i said, i dont think this is vegan related directly but more chocolate orientated
good luck
thats soo sad. don't be beat yourself so much about it. And don't let the anti-meat people brow-beat you into thinking their way. just enjoy your diet.
I too struggled with being a vegan until I had a Fillet Mignon one day and a huge plate of veal the next.
After I went hunting boar and deer, all of the difficulties of being a vegan slipped away. It became as comfortable to me as my calfskin leather jacket and fit like me elephant skin shoes.
You could make your own chocolate couldn't you???
Ohhhh, look what I found!!!

Now you have no need to feel guilty!! xxxx
Once a CHEATER always a CHEATER!!!!
Do you realize how many female cows had their nipples squashed for you to receive a wonderful sweet sweet piece of chocolate??? DO YOU???
I'm appalled!!!!!!
Oh was it a Red Tulip??? OH MAN YUMMY!!!!!!
Hun don't worry about it, Just drink and drink water. The cravings will go away.
Don't be so hard on yourself - loads of people have slipped up when it comes to chocolate and other treats. My sister has given up chocolate for lent (even though she doesn't believe in God) and is finding it hard.
Vegan chocolate is available in most supermarkets for example Green and Blacks do quite a few vegan bars and they're VERY tasty - any bars that are dark chocolate are vegan - if not all, then most of them - it says it on the back of the cardboard outer packaging and in the ingredients so all is not lost if you want a chocolate fix.
Good luck with the veganism:-)
Hey dont worry too much. Alot of vegan's fall off the wagon once in a while. I did the same a few weeks back. I felt terrible, but all the lovely people in the V&V section helped out. There are tones of vegan sweets and chocolates. or you can try baking your own. Just dont make a habbit of it & you'll be right...
=)
You just need to stock up on vegan versions of the foods that tempt you. If you have vegan snacks (like dark chocolate) on hand instead of non-vegan ones (like milk chocolate) then you won't fall prey to random cravings. I don't bring anything non-vegan into the house and I keep safe snacks in my desk at work too.
I'm not going to tell you off for it - everyone makes mistakes and there isn't *really* a Vegan Police to worry about. You only have to answer to yourself.
i havent slipped up with the vegan diet but i didnt mean to go vegan i was veggie and i gradually stopped eating eggs and dairy, i did struggle with chocolate though i would have cravings all the time but i could never bring my self to eat it. i found a couple of vegan makes which helped and actually taste ok. if you look for stuff thats gluten free alot of them are also suitable for vegan.
i dont think im vegan but my docs says i am incase any friend are reading
some vegan choc...link >>>>http://www.veganessentials.com/catalog/r...
I've accidently eaten something I didn't realize contained gelatin.
Its ok to have chocolate, don't beat yourself up. Stay committed to chocolate instead.
its Gods way of telling you you need to eat meat
