If cooked can Quorn mince be chilled and reheated next day?!

Question: I've read some of the other entries about Quorn being eaten cold, but I was just wondering this:

I have some frozen Quorn mince, if I cook it up normally in a frying pan, is it safe to then let it cool naturally at room temperature, mix it with a microwavable tomato sauce, chill it in the fridge overnight and then take it to work and reheat it in the microwave for comsumption warm with the pasta and tomato sauce?

Sorry for the lengthy detail, but I need to get every angle covered.

Basically -- Cook from frozen, cool, mix with sauce, chill in fridge, take to work, reheat within 24 hours of initial cooking but NEVER at any point re-freeze. Safe or Not?

Thanks :)

yeah, it will be fine - though it probably will splatter about in the microwave a bit so make sure it's covered! (i used to find that happened with quorn mince)

Yep - that will be absolutely fine - no probs!

yes, definitely

Its safe!!

Id imagine it would be safe but couldn't guarantee the taste. conmsidering Quorn cooks so quickly and you have access to a microwave why not just prepare it at work.
Take the sauce and quorn and cooked pasta to work. you don't have to fry it first.
I find if its over cooked ie warmed over, quorn tends to go a bit mushy, losing texture.

Yes, you use it as you would use ordinary mince.

YUP! I do it a couple of times a week as a 'mincey mixture' makes a really filling lunch to take to work. I often throw in a handful of leftover pasta too, to make it even more hearty!

Yes it is ok, I do it myself all the time.

yes, it will be fine and still taste great

Yes, no problem at all. The main concern would be if you left it out on the counter for more than just a few hours, before putting it in the cooler. Think of it like dairy mayonaise, if you let it sit out at room temperature with access to air, it will go bad. However, if you keep a jar of opened dairy mayonaise in the ice box it will last a long time. I hope this helps. Enjoy your food.
