Vegan - Cosmetics that have not been tested on animals ?!
I know L'Oreal have opposed the ban, so that means I'm never buying anything from them...I understood that The Body Shop is not safe anymore either.
So which brands can be used by us, vegans?
Thanks in advance and have a good day!
Answers: Hy! I was wondering if you can recommend me a few labels of cosmetics that have not been tested on animals (nor contain animal products).

An Australian company, Diva has vegan skincare and vegan lipglaze, they are supposed to be bringing out a foundation in the near future. (I know this because I am a consultant).

Arbonne cosmetics are vegan.
I don't know if AVON products are vegan, but I know they don't test on animals.
Avon does not test.
surprisingly, maybelline doesn't either.
burts bees is great.
go to the PETA website. they usually have a list up so you can see who does what.
Gabriel, Zia, Beauty Without Cruelty, Freeman Beauty, Kiss My Face, Pangea Vegan Products...
Available online or at Whole Foods...
Burt's Bees does not test on animals, but they are not listed as being vegan.
Aveda rocks, their products can be pricey, but they have shampoos and conditioners that are all bio-degradable and cosmetics that are all natural and never tested on animals.
I would look into Kiss My Face and Freeman Beauty, I order some of their stuff online...love them too.
:)
Clorox (fund animal testing) bought Burt's Bees... I also thought vegans would avoid beeswax.
Zuzu Luxe, which is available at Whole Foods, is a 100% vegan line. Aveda and Origins are not tested on animals and most products are vegan, although some have honey or beeswax. Origins has a vegan mascara, which is sometimes tough to find. Urban Decay lists which products are vegan on their website. Some Smashbox products are vegan (the only animal ingredients they use are carmine, honey and beswax, so if an item doesn't have those, it's animal-free.) Hard Candy labels it's vegan products with a pink heart. Most Jane cosmetics are vegan (their stearic acid is from plant souces,) but their mascaras are not.
