No, not if you have wanted it for ages and it brings you joy...or pride.

The problem with leather and wool and silk, is that people don't appreciate, know or even care where it came from.

We live in a world where fashion changes every season, people buy shoes and jackets made from animals and they think nothing of it, they just discard it when it becomes unfashionable.

I am vegan, I don't buy leather and wool, but I have my grandmothers wool sweater that she wore here off the boat from Holland, I will never give it up.

There are farmers who raise their cattle, they have names, they are loved....when it is time to kill one for their food, they bring them out into the pasture alone, they kill it quickly and gently then sit by it and thank it for providing food for their families, their neighbor and community. I cannot be against this.

I think that if you are even questioning this, you are a good human, enjoy it knowing that you don't take these things for granted.

:)

Eat it.

No. You earned that jacket! If it bothers you to wear it, put it away in a closet or something. You might decide you want to wear it someday and regret it if you get rid of it.

Yeah, get rid of it you PuS S! Nice, ypu pansy jock!! Get over it, eat a steak!!!

No, don't get rid of it. You can quit the act. Everybody knows a vegetarian can't earn a letter jacket.

There's no need to get rid of it. I have a leather wallet that I bought years before I became vegan but I still have it because as long as I have it I might as well show my new found appreciation for the cow whose life was taken short.

If you feel uncomfortable wearing it, consider giving the jacket to a charity of your choice, but don't throw it out.

They don't kill sheep to get their wool, they just shave them. Are vegetarians really against cutting a sheep's hair in order to make wool? If so that's just ridiculous!

Wool Is made from sheep shearing.

well, if its made of wool then thats ok, to wear it if your a vegetairan or vegan, cos they didnt kill the sheep to keep you warm, they only shaved the sheep and the wool grows right back on them. so its ok to wear that LETTER JACKET with pride..go ahead and do it...lol

No for real its kool to wear it, no animals were harmed for that jacket.

if you're a vegetarian, it doesn't matter. there is a difference between veggies and vegans. vegans don't use animal stuff, not veggies. and if you've had this before you became a vegan if that's the case, it was before you made your decision. so should you go through and throw everything out? just keep it.

Well, if you already have it, getting rid of it is dumb. Keep it and just don't buy one again. Or give it to someone who needs it more than you.

You already ordered it no one else will wear so id wear it if i were u it wont change anything with the animal

That is a life style choice. If you are a strict vegan than probably so. But look in your closet are all your cloths and socks made of hemp. If you answer no than your answer is no.

I just thought about that harvesting wool from sheep does not harm them, it may even do them some good.

Why waste a good coat? Quit being petty. Keep the coat.

Keep the coat.

I can only imagine what a vegetarian would earn a letter in.

You earned the distinction by doing something else not eating meat so why get rid of it? Unless the actual sheep from where the wool was sheared approached and asked for his hair back, then i would just keep it as a memento for what it was intended.
