Vegaterian tofu that tastes good?!

Question: what with tofu makes a good meal. i have looked only for recipies and they are all basically fried or like stir fried.

mushrooms, dairy, nuts, vegtables(DUH!), vegtable oils, and spices are all okay with me. egg too.

these are preferred:
portabella mushroom
broccoli
squash
brown eggs
beef ( lmao just kidding)
carrots
potatoes
yams
onions
garlic
peppers
and celery

great recipes.. and loads of usual ways to cook tofu.. good luck..

tofu will go great with any of those, it all comes down to how you marinate it. If you're sick of frying there are many recipes on how to bake tofu.

One of my favorite ways to prepare it though is too press out all the liquid from the tofu. Then mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and minced garlic. All amounts are totally up to you. You should taste the marinade before adding the tofu.
Let it marinate for an hour flipping every so often so the other side gets covered. then bake or fry.

well the best tofu i have ever had surprisingly had coconut it was at the brown derby in disneyworld and was on top of a thai coconut broth soup it was AMAZING sorry i couldnt be more help

This is my favourite recipe:

INGREDIENTS

1 cup pineapple juice
2 tbs soy sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp honey
350g firm tofu, cut into (1cm) bite size pieces
1 tbs olive oil
? cup crunchy peanut butter
1 small onion
1 cup vegetable stock
1 tsp ground cumin
? cup soy milk
? tsp mild curry powder
? cup reserved marinade
1? tbs lemon juice
1 carrot, peeled and sliced
1 red capsicum, roughly chopped
1 cup snow peas, trimmed
? cup broccoli florets
Steamed rice, to serve

METHOD

Combine pineapple juice, soy, garlic and honey in a shallow dish. Add tofu and marinate (30 minutes).

Heat half the oil in a frypan. Add tofu, reserving half a cup of the marinade, cook until golden brown on both sides. Set aside and cover to keep warm.

Combine peanut butter, onion, stock, cumin, soy milk, curry powder, marinade and lemon juice in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Bring mixture to the boil; reduce heat and simmer, (5-6 minutes).

Whilst sauce is simmering, heat remaining oil in the frypan. Add carrot, capsicum, snow peas and broccoli, stir-fry (2-3 minutes) until tender.

Return tofu to the frypan add satay sauce, toss to combine and warm through. Serve immediately over steamed rice.
