I really do wish I would have known about the cruelty invovled in getting meat a lot earlier than I did. I wish I never ate meat, sometimes I think about all those animals I ate and never knew what they really went through. There is a song I love and one verse says "Could we have known, never would have I, have helped to nail down." Everytime I hear it I think of the animals I ate, cause if I would have known I wouldn't have eaten them. Hehehe:)
Im the exact same. I feel so full of energy!! My skin is glowing too except ugh acne :[ .
Yes, and i also wish my mother had been vegan when she was pregnant with me. Contrary to popular belief, some of the substance of the body doesn't change at all throughout your life, and that means that part of my body will always be made from dead animals. I know it all recycles, but even so i find the thought that some of the brain thinking all this through and putting these words down is made from dead cow, sheep and pig. Not that i blame my mother.
no. i'm good.
Of course! I wish I was born & raised vegan. I had a lot of health problems due to dairy and meat, that I suffered a lot from when I was younger. It does make me upset to think that certain animal products stay in your body, so I wish I was never *contaminated* with the dead bodies, etc. Plus the sooo many benefits of veganism, I could have actually had happy childhood & young life!
Not to mention, despite my suffering as a child I always wanted peace and less/no suffering for everybody. If I knew what eating animals meant (I did not even know I was eating animals!!) I most definitely would have been confused, sad, angry, & stopped. I never knew about the health risks, absolute cruelty to animals, damage to the environment, & world hunger. Luckily I was allergic to sea animals when I consumed them, so I didn't, as well as milk by it self. Although I had a lot of chocolate and cheese, a lot of cheese =(. But, I always hated the way chicken and other meat tasted, it tasted bloody and dead...well I later learned why!
My mother regrets not raising me vegan...although she is not vegan herself...or even vegetarian...although she is trying.
Yes I do, I have a lot of health problems and being vegetarian earlier might have helped combat some of them
Nope. Couldn't of done it earlier. Became vegetarian when I was five when I found out what meat was. Totally my choice. I might go Vegan when Im a bit older.
I wish I became a vegetarian earlier. But I'm glad I waited to become a vegan. My family somewhat supported my vegetarianism enough to get by to the point that I wish I adopted a vegetarian lifestyle before age 16. But I'm glad that I waited to adopt veganism, 3 years ago, when I first started living on my own. There is no way it would've been supportive while I was living under my parents roof and eating all my parents food.
Oh definitely.
I was vegetarian at a really young age (before starting school) because of taste. Then I ate McDonald's hamburgers for awhile, they were the one thing keeping me from being vegetarian. I stopped eating them, and I never crave them. They made me sick!
YES! I really wish I was a vegetarian before I decided to become one a year and a half earlier. =]
I was in my 30s when I went veg, and I definitely wish I'd done it sooner. Even if it took me longer to go vegan (and I went vegan a few months after going veg), at least I would have been taking a step in the right direction.
Yeah I love being vegan:) I wish I was earlier too but oh well I was still young when I converted
