Vegetarians...do you ever cheat and eat meat?!

Question: i do with sushi

Answers: i do with sushi

lol no...I don't get the cravings ever...and when I crave something, I normally crave stuff that isn't meat, but might have a by-product in it. I don't even crave cheese....I miss my favorite pizza man, but that's about it.

And I don't think that you should feel bad....I will never go back to being a meat eater, and I am fortunate that I don't have cravings, but if I did, I can't say whether or not I would have some once in a while.

And sushi, I love, fortunately I am insane for avocados and eat lots of those...but if I couldn't have those, I would maybe cheat for them...you should try them~

Either way, you are a good person!
cheers

no never

No No No hell no thats disrispectful to the enviroment and animals, i am not a poser or a hypacrite

Absolutely not! It's not something that you can cheat. If you're a vegeterian, you could never eat meat. You love animals too much! And IF you were to eat it, you wouldn't be able to enjoy it because of the thought that you are eating animals.
XOXO

Arby's with two packets of horsey sauce on my birthday every year!
Bah, humbug! Being a vegetarian is a choice in life style. It's not a judgment on others' choices! You are not a poser when you eat sushi...you have simply made a food choice.
When I ate strictly Macro, I still enjoyed a candy bar, even though for medical reasons they were off my list of allowed foods.
Why??? because God gave me taste buds for better or worse...sometimes I give in to the old buds!!!

No, not at all.
But I became vegetarian because I didn't like the taste of any meat or seafood.

No, never. The thought never even occurred to me.

I have never eaten sushi either.

no

Not on purpose, but I ate something with Worchestershire sauce not long ago- forgot about the anchovies...

no!! never! REAL vegetarians wouldn't because the reason they don't eat meat is becuase they love animals. if you do it to be cool, yeah of course. but if you really mean it, then no. and if you secretly ate meant..ur not a veretarian!

You can get sushi that is vegetarian - there really is no need to 'cheat' if that is what you are wanting to eat.

No, I never cheat with meats but I may have eaten any other chocolate with fat in it, I don't always read the labels.

No not on purpose. I ate prawns by accident once, I ate a cabbage n rice roll at an asian restaraunt. I didn't know it was in there till I bit into it. I wouldn't do it on purpose though.

NEVER

the point of being a vegetarian is to NOT EAT MEAT.

why would I eat a creature that I've changed my entire lifestyle just to help stop the slaughter of innocent animals?

no. never.

I have never cheated, or even had the urge to "cheat" and eat meat. Cheating refers to an act of lying, deceiving or misleading, I have made a conscience choice to avoid the consumption of meat, there is no reason to "cheat", if I wanted to eat meat I would do so. I am happy not eating meat, therefore I do not eat it.

I never eat meat but on occasion I will tolerate diary and eggs because it simply from time to time is put in my food and I don't want to needlessly waste. This happens the vast majority of the time while eating out.

IMO cheese is much more ubiquitous than meat. But for the most part I'm 98% + vegan.

In short I'll unwittingly "cheat" on the vegan part but draw the line at going past vegetarian.

As for people saying you are not a real vegetarian if you eat meat once in a while I'd say there needs to be a term for someone who does not eat it often. I'd call such people semi-vegetarians.

Believe it or not most people go from omnivore, to semi-vegetarian, to vegetarian, to vegan, to raw food vegan, and sometimes fruitarian.

You're doing fine. Just keep encouraging yourself through meditation and prayer and you'll find the right answers and the will to carry it through.

Blessings : )

If I did that, I wouldn't consider myself vegetarian. What would be the point?

I don't eat animals because I have a deep feeling about it. I do it because it feels right to me, not because of what other people might think about it.

Nope, been a vegetarian/vegan ever since last year.

And with sushi, i just order the vegetable rolls so that way i get the goodness of sushi and I'm not eating meat.

PS- Vegetarians shouldn't cheat on eating meat. If they did, they are not considered a vegetarian.

Nope, don't eat meat.

A long while back, more than a year ago, my cousin (she's a little girl, maybe 4 at the time?) gave me a handful of Raisinets and asked me to eat them -"pwease? I wub you" kind of moment - they have whey (dairy byproduct) in them. So I had them... didn't invalidate me being vegan just because I wanted to keep from breaking a little girl's heart. They were so icky though.

When I was pregnant, I went through the whole pregnancy eating a vegan diet but I went through 1 week where I craved meat (even though it had been YEARS since I had meat!) and ended up having meat that week... I had a really crazy pregnancy, I had a different craving every week. You try and resist a craving as a pregnant lady! I swear, I'd have split the ocean like Moses to get what I wanted when I had a craving. ;)

Didn't get smited by the vegan gods or something like that.

i eat fish.
so i'm not like a REAL vegetarian buuuh whatever.
i just don't eat any other meat..
and i've never cheated

no I don't eat dead animals
btw if ur eating sushi ur not vegetarian

I used to be a vegetarian, and I ate some meat when there was nothing else available. On road trips, for example, when the only thing to eat was fast-food hamburgers. Church functions were also short on vegetarian food, so I ate their beef chili and barbequed chicken and whatever. Also I once went on a hiking trip, and it was hard to subsist without beef jerky.

lol, i asked this same question when i went vegatarean and got blasted, lol

so i never did it again,,, now im vegan, its alot harder, i ate milk chocolate this week, naughty naughty, xxxxxxxxxx

No, because then I wouldn't be vegetarian. I wouldn't enjoy eating it anyway, because all I could think about would be a dead animal.

no i dont ! dont judge people you dont know !

no never you are cheating by your own self by eating meat and your mind will always be disturbed.

No, there is no such thing as a vegetarian that cheats, there are only people that are struggling with vegetarianism.

No of course not and if you do you aren't a vegetarian, you're just a person who sometimes eats meat and sometimes doesn't.

No, I never cheat. If you are truly a vegetarian, just the thought of eating meat should be unbearable. If you ever "cheat" you are NOT a vegetarian. P.S. fish had to suffer just so you could pig out with your precious sushi.
