Is it normal for eggplant to make your toungue feel kind of weird when you eat it?!


Question: When ever I eat eggplant, it makes my tounge feel weird. It doesn't really hurt, it's just weird. Am I allergic, or is eggplant just like this?

eating eggplant should not make your tongue feel weird. the texture is spongy and may have a slight slimy aftertaste, but mostly on the roof of your mouth. you should see an allergist, or perhaps call and ask about the symptoms before investing in a costly doctor appointment.

you might be allergic. cos i think only pineapples are supposed to do that

You most likely have an allergy. My tongue feels weird and sort of itchy when I have certain foods I'm allergic to like kiwi and soy milk.

no its not supposed to do that so i think u r allergic to eggplant.
