What shall I do for starters?!
Shall I do a soup (carrot and coriander)
or a wild mushroom pate with melba toast and salad garnish to start, bearing in mind three of the six vegetarians are men!
Answers: For main course there is going to be a baby leek and 3 (veggie ) cheese tart, served with baby golden crispy roast potatoes and creamed spinach, then for pud there's orchard crumble (apple, pear and plum) and custard or chocolate dipped black cherry cheesecake.

Pate and melba toast....
My bloke doesnt do soup for a starter and I know that mainly old people usually do soup as a starter.
It also helps as most men dont do well with soup and end up with most of it on their clothes.....
hope my opinion helps....and good luck with the meal!
the mushroom one sounds nice i would go for that one
I like both - the soup and the pate. What does three of the people being male have to do with anything?
seeing how the whole man thing is eating red meat and they are vegaterians, i would say that is a moot issue. but mushrooms are about as manly as you could get of the two i think and besides, mushrooms are great!
soup with some nice bread is filling, how about carrot & cumin, or sweet potato, or i think roast tom & red pepper soup would be best as a great bright red colour to start your meal off with a large splash of red.
I think the pate is a better choice, it sounds more like a formal dinner
I'd opt for the wild mushroom pate and melba toast, it sounds yummy!
Large flat mushroom each, fried in garlic butter and put on half a muffin toasted, delicious
